Neil Stratton Lead until lap 15 by a full straigt away nothing was going to hold this when back then a crash by somebody battling back in 30th and that did happen kory sansted way back in the field when in to the wall that made the caution to come out with 5 laps to go. With Art Collins Right Behind in third. The Green flag came out and Neil got a good jump hoping that the 9 would hold of the 68 for a couple of laps. That didnt happen and Arty Collins got by on the first lap Art crept up on to Neil real fast and got by the rookie with 3 laps to go and took the race. In the 3rd and 4th turn Neil slipped high and Allowed the 9 to get by and took the nice finish with a third. Moving him up into 16th in points. And putting him in first in the rookie Standings with 4 spots over Danny Sanchez. Arty Collins said after the race he wouldnt of won if it wasnt for that caution. In the other race Hector Stratton started 6th on the field and was looking for the first win of the year when on the first lap a bad wreck happened when matt Quinn was rushed off to the hospital on a stretcher after flipping many times. That put Ron dwyer and paul gilardi out also. And it moved Hector into third with the two slowest drivers right in front of him. The worst thing that could happen here would be for the track crew to not clean up all the debris and have someone run over it and get two flat tires. And you know what happened it did and Hector got two flat tires and the caution came out and he was just about to take the lead in second going for first and that happens. so he comes in and the crew quickly gets to work and changes both tires and they look for metal in the tire and there was but you cant doing nothing about it but we would be in first right now. So Stratton comes out starts in about 20th passes alot of cars and ends up getting ninth another good finish but if that didnt happen we would of probaly won because correlis won and we passed correlis before the flat tire just the luck and Hector woul be in 8th in points. |
