What is this site about? This site is basically about my own enjoyment of agility with my dog and how others like yourselves enjoy it through achieving high awards, training or just having fun with your dog; I certainly do anyway!!!. This site will bring you results of some of our dogs at competition and will record some of our dogs achievements on video! (hopefully I can get it to work!) Also we intend to include some stories about our dogs at the club but if you want any recognition of your dogs achievements then just go to the contacts page and follow instructions. What is Agility? (for those who don't know) Agility began as a display at Crufts inbetween the actual showing, but now as you can see the sport of dog agility has taken the world by storm! Agility is a course filled with obstacles normally between 17-24, it really depends on the level your competing at. Detail of the different levels will feature on the Infomation Page. And different obsatcles are used such as, CONTACTS: A-frame, Dog walk, See-Saw JUMPS: Hurdles at 4 different heights, Long jump OTHERS: Tunnel, Collasped Tunnel, Weeves, Tyre For more information on these obstacles go to one of our links and it will explain. Agility is basically a sport for dog and handler to get round the course as fast as they can within the time allocated. Thats the main objective of the sport. Is Agility for me? Basically if you want to take up agility then I advise: 1. If your dog is keen to learn and seems to find an interest in treats, toys etc then he/she is perfect to start up 2. Look up for a agility club near your area and ask questions like beginner classes or prices for training (I admit agility isn't a very cheap sport!) 3. If you have patience and you are sort of fit to run with your dog (It can be tiring for both you and your dog) and finally... 4. HAVE FUN!!!!! It is the most important aspect of the sport!!!
