Alex Whynacht will be kicking off his 2006 tour in a few weeks starting March 21st. The band will also be releasing their first live album compiled from three different shows over the 2005 winter tour. Also Lunenburg has recently been added to the Nova Scotia leg of the tour(Where Alex was born). Please stayed turned for updates on all the tour dates Alex began his career when he moved to Toronto in early 2002. Playing coffee shops and bars he began to build a fan base that followed him from venue to venue. With the growing demand of his acoustic styles Alex inlisted a trio of talented musicians to help propel the live shows to a new level. With the form of the trio came their first album which captured the magic of their live shows. The album title BLACK & WHITE was nominated for best new artist at the Junos and sold of 300,000 copies in its first month all on an independant label. Their grassroots sound and experimental style has produced two albums with a live third on the way. You can check them out on their upcoming 2006 tour kicking off March 21st.
