WHAT! NO SAUCE BY JO

Alone in the kitchen she stood and pondered
how to make him stay at home
So he won't wander

With a trembling hand she picked up the blade
With her is where she wanted he stayed
so she'd see if this was the way

with the first cut tears came to here eyes
the deeper she went
the more her eyes rent

however she tried, her eyes became wet
she'd win him back, she's not done yet
with expertise she used the implement

so she drew back the blade again to stab
the tears in her eyes she stopped to dab
to stay by her side this it will make
he'll have those damn onions with his steak
Take a newly unwrapped ba nana leaf or leaves from a banana tree and remove the middle vein.
Hold the leaves over a fire which should contain some banana peel. The smoke will bleach the leaves and give them a smokey flavour. 3. Take the leaves and fold them carefully without cracking them, so that they can hold the ingredients. Place your ingredients in the leaves with some salt and a little water. Suggestions for ingredients are smoked chicken pieces, tomatoes, 5.
Take a large saucepan and pack it with more chopped banana, stalk, banana leaves and some water. Place the prepared Oluwombo inside and cover with more banana leaves. 6. Place the saucepan over a fire and cook for approximately one hour. Serve hot. Mmmm, good!

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD?
Submitted by J A M

I don't know,(as Ozzy would say),what your favourite food is, and I don't know,(as Ozzy would say), what my favourite food is since I love all types of different dishes, except for the china, because I find that it's hard on my teeth!
If I'm asked if I like sea-food, my reply is "Yep. I sea-food, I eat it." I have started to eat vegetarian dishes which at one time used to be a no-no, and my health is stronger since I have tried a variety of food. Food to me is fun, in preparation and consuming. Everybody has a favourite food, so I guess my favourite food is food. I jus have to watch my figure. Gotta go, time to chow down!!

VEGETARIAN STEW
By FIDO DOGSTOEVSKI

Fill one huge cauldron with water.
Set over open flames, bring to a nice, bubbling boil.
Toss in one bag of potatoes,
a bag of carrots, some garlic and onions.

Put spices according to taste.

Stir well.
Add one vegetarian.
Cook until well done.
The carp is one of the most over-looked fresh water fish that ever was. People don't realize the nutritional value that can be found in this common denizen of our lakes and ponds.
To cook this inexpensive dish there really isn't much needed.
First you need one fresh carp. One about 10 lbs will do just fine. Also you'll need some salt - about a tablespoon full will do nicely and you'll need an onion.
Most important of all you must have a couple of old roofing shingles. The kind that are falling apart with the little stones on the top flaking off is just what the doctor ordered.
Wash and clean the carp really well. There is no need to scale and de-fin the fish right now. This will happen later.
Peel and dice the onion and mix it with melted margarine.
Take the fish and baste it with the onion mix.
Once this is done, it's time to wash the shingles using hot water to soften them so they can be bent.
Now it's time to take the carp and place it on the shingles.
Carefully wrap the fish in the shingles, then place in a preheated oven at 350 f. for about 3 hrs.
After a time you will be excited by the aroma.
Now take the shingles, being careful not to burn yourself and unwrap the carp.
Quickly now so you won't allow the shingles to cool... throw the carp away and enjoy.
Bon appetite.
