| Carrie calls me "Sis", you can too. |
This "website" is just a way for me to express my thoughts, views and opinions all in one place. It's basically every aspect of my imagination that I feel safe enough to share with complete strangers...and possible people who do know me.
As of the day I'm writing this (1:14 in the morning on April 16th) I am 19 years old but in 2 days will be my 20th birthday. I'm not excited nor sad. There's nothing special about the 20th birthday, afterall. 15, permit. 16, liscence. 18, perks of adulthood. 19, you can drink in Canada (I grew up for most of my life just a walk across the bridge from Fort Frances, Canada). 20...it's actually more bad than it is good. Now I will have no excuse for any immaturity...I'm no longer a teenager. Now they're just dangling the legality to drink and be merry in front of my face for my final 365 days of being underage.
20. It sounds so adult. But in my mind I'm still just a young, naive, little girl. I'm hoping to become fully adult-mature in my mind by at least my mid-twenties.
A few things to know about my that may interest you:
(1) I'm 5-7 and between 120 and 130 pounds depending on if I'm working out, naturally brown hair (currently a shade of red) and brown eyes, but I swear sometimes I see green in them.
(2) I was an athlete in high school. A runner in cross country and track and I played basketball for fun. I wasn't that great, but also I wasn't that bad either. In cross, I was pretty good 8th through 10th grade, but after that I just couldn't keep up with the top half of the field that well. I was pretty good in Track, I was great for around in my area.
(3) I went to one year of College and ran cross country and a few track meets, but I hated it there. I couldn't sleep at night, I was becoming depressed and I wanted to kill myself.
(4) I prefer cats over dogs. There's something about them when they are cuddling up against you, purring and rubbing their faces into you that just gets to me.
(5) I like to read How-To and Self Help books. Whatever I can do to better myself, bring it on.
(6) I'm a avid lover of Thrift Stores...
...but I also love going to eluxury.com and going on a fantasy shopping trip just to see how much I can rack up into my internet shopping cart. Although I do admit to once buying a pair of Seven jeans from the site for $129!!
(7) I read US, Star, In Touch and Life & Style just so I can see what the celebrities are wearing and try to emulate their style.
(8) If I could lock myself in my room for the rest of my life and just want endless movie after movie on DVD I would.
(9) I LOVE LOVE LOVE soap operas. Lots of them. It's the drama, I love it! La Lucci on All My Children is the only one I keep up with on a daily basis, but I always make sure to catch episodes once in a while of The Young and the Restless, One Life to Live and General Hospital to keep up.
(10) I love Desperate Housewives.
(11) I have Seasons 1 through 9 of Friends on DVD and I can't wait for the 10th to come out!
(12) I pursue guys too eagerly that I end up turning them off. I just don't want to play hard to get, why waste all that time if I like a guy, then I want to have him asap!
(13) I *gasp* like younger guys. Guys older than me are too intimidating to me!
Enough for now, you'll learn more about me eventually.
By the way:
This place is more for me than it is for you, but I also hope that you enjoy reading whatever you want. If you disagree with anything that I have to say and want to tell me so in my Guestbook...be my Guest;) but keep in mind that the best way to get your point across to someone is with tact and grace. Not with cursory and crude remarks. |
