Mission: Sustainable Beefarming and Nature Conservation
Areas of intervention: Nature Conservation, sustainable farming systems and income generating activities.
Specific activities.
-Tree nursery/tree planting, Beefarming training / material assistance, Plant and wildlife inventory, Assists Communities in the development of community Forest management plan, creation of CF Management Institutions (FMIs), agroforestry, night paddock manuring systems and market gardening.
Track Record
- In apiculture: 3254 Kenya top bar hives, 2560 smokers and 2356 beesuits produced and distributed.
- 6186 beefarmers and 44 trainers trained 2 of whom were trained in Britain and Tanzania.
- In nature Conservation: participated in the protection of 26 watersheds in the Northwest and west provinces, assisted a rural community to conserve its bat sanctuary, assisted two communities in the North West Province to conserve their community forests.
- In intensive farming systems trained: 200 farmers in agroforestry and night paddock manuring systems trained 30 grazers in improved pasture.
Current Projects
- Assisting the community of Dom village in Bui Division to conserve its CF.
- Assisting the community of Kitiwum in Kumbo Central subdivision to protect their watershed.
Target
- Rural communities with special attention on women and youths.

- Western Highlands Nature Conservation Network (ANCO Currently holds the chair).
- Northwest NGO Forum (Bamenda, Cameroon).
- Forum of African Voluntary organizations (FAVO) Dakar Senegal
Membership: 250 registered groups containing over 6000 individuals. The groups are nized in not less than 10 groups per zone. Each zone is a focal point for training, meeting orga and honey collection.
