Profile Tricks
BACKGROUND COLOR CODE
< body . bgcolor=#000000> Put this Code in the MEMBER NAME box of your profile. This example is a black background. choose a color, and replace the 000000 with the color you choose! Now that you have your background code on your name line, hit UPDATE and check your profile.
FONT COLOR CODE
< font . color=#FF3000> Put this Code in your MEMBER NAME box of your profile, after the background code. replace the FF3000 with the color you choose!
FONT SIZE
< font . ptsize=8> This will set font size, 6 is really small and 100 is huge. Play around with the numbers and find the size you want!
FONT TYPE
< font . face="Comic Sans MS"> This will set font type, code goes after the others. You can find a list of fonts on your system, by trying to change font in a IM window, E-mail, or chat room. Write down the name of the font you want and insert it in this code!
TEXT ALIGNMENT/BOLD/HIGHLIGHTING

ADD NEW&REMOVE CATAGORY

FLASHING BACKGROUNDS
Put in Mulitpal Background Codes and your profile will FLASH. Make sure you put in different colors. It only Flashes when you first view your profile for about a second. The mutipal codes can be on different lines of your profile. The more codes you put in, the more it flashes. HINT: put background codes on your name line and quote line for best flash! I reccomend at least 6 codes. You can find the background color code on
2 COLOR BACKGROUND

GREY LINE BOX

BOOT ME OFFLINE-NICE TRY BOZO TRICK
< a . href="AOL://1391:NICE TRY, BOZO">Boot me offline< /a>This code puts a link on your profile too "boot you offline"... but when clicked on an error message comes up.. saying "NICE TRY BOZO"... you can change it to say other funny things like "AOL Nudist link".. then when clicked have it say..."YOU PERVERT" .. be creative..

You need those because AOL puts in blank spaces and your link won't work without them. The rule is, for every you need a . The stuff in the middle of those two codes should not have blank spaces! Play around with your links until they work. Its a little complicated to get it right. Just keep trying and look at my example closely.

IM Secrets:
1) Make it look like others are saying stuff that u want them to say! = first, type in what you would like to ask the person (Ex- are u dumb?) then press enter. 2nd, type the person's screen name in red bold lettering , make sure it is the right font size. Then putt the lettering back to normal size and color. Now tpye in what you want them to say (Ex- yes Iam). this can freak out dumb people!
2) To MakeYour Name Come Up Cool In An IM: Type about 1½ lines of text. Then highlight the text and click your right mouse button. Then Justification and choose Full. Send it. If you don't have a space in your name it will make your name have big spaces between each letter. If you do have a space in your name then it will make half of it on one line and the other half on the next! *Note this trick doesent always work.
Type
in an Instant Message. Blanks IMs will be sent until you hit cancel. People can't see what you send them and you can can't see what they send you. No name appears either. Just the sound.
**NOTE** this is HTML code, so others might work.... Put nothing but spaces to send a blank IM. 10 IMs to CATWatch01 overloads the CATWatch bot, atleast thats the rumor. To turn IMs off send a message to $IM_off to turn them on send a message to $IM_on.
Chat Room Secrets:
This only works with Windows.
To send a blank line hit and hold SPACEBAR then hit and hold ALT then 0160. Now release the keys and hit ENTER. Repeat this without hitting enter about 20 times to make two lines. To scoot text over hit and hold SPACEBAR then hit and hold ALT then 0160 then release the keys hit space bar as many times as you wish for it to be moved over and type your message! Their are also many special characters you can do by holding ALT and hitting numbers. See your windows Character map for more info. To roll 1 dice you type //roll To roll more dice type //roll-sides999-dice20, you can change the 999 and 20 to any other numbers. CTRL-F4 closes the current AOL window that is highlited.
Linking to AOL Areas:
Step 1: Finding the Address
To find the address of an AOL area you need to go to that area and save it to your Favorite Places. Then go to your favorite places menu and EDIT the area that you need the address for. A box will pop up that has the title of the area and an AOL address that should look something like this:

Step 2: Making the Link
The HyperText link to an AOL area is very similar to a link to a web address. Just replace the http://www.disney.com with aol://4344:1204.mc3main.9376183.524343541. Like this:

Chat Tricks!
1) Try making new letters! here are some combinations:
alt+157 is:¥
alt+156 is:£
alt+0222 is:Þ
alt+128 is:Ç
space alt, 0160 is a blank space
2) Double screen names- this takes some setting up but if u do it right the person could have a heart attack! Find a screen name with a capital I or a lower case l (L, not one).Now in aol these 2 letters appear identical! so all u have to do is create a screen name substituting the I of the l (L) or the l (L)for the I. and thats it! (also 2 v's can be substituted for a w). Then go to the person and say Hi, and whatch there reactoin
3) Private Room Bust:
1. Go to Favorite Places, click Add Favorite Places, for the Place Description type the room name, for the Internet Site Address: aol://2719:2-2-"Room Name". (note where it says room name put the name of the room). 2. You can also click on the Go To menu, Edit Go To menu, pick a slot. In the slot type aol://2719:2-2-"Room Name". Then afterwards Press Ctrl and the # slot you chose.
4) Members Room Bust:
Go to a room, click List Chats, click Member Rooms, click Find Room by Name, type the room name, click find, highlight the room, hold enter
5) KiLL Wait =. Get rid of the hourglass! Just click on Help 3 times (quickley) then click on about AOL then click it
