We're still the same but we've changed our name to Mothers & More...check us out at http://maxpages.com/mothersandmore

F.E.M.A.L.E. (Formerly Employed Mothers At the Leading Edge) is a national organization that supports women who have taken time away from full-time paid employment in order to raise their children at home, and advocates for choices in how one combines parenting and working.

It is an organization that supports all women who are making transitions between paid employment and at-home motherhood.

F.E.M.A.L.E. is not about opposing mothers who work outside the home. Many of our members currently work for pay in some capacity, most of them on a part-time basis.

F.E.M.A.L.E. is about respecting, supporting and advocating for choice in how one combines working and parenting.

Mostly, it's a great way to meet your "co-workers" (other stay-at-home moms), form new friendships, exchange ideas and resources, and resolve that isolated feeling many moms have when they leave the paid workforce to stay at home.

F.E.M.A.L.E. is a non-profit organization with over 8000 members internationally . More than 180 chapters have formed since its inception in 1987.

On the national level F.E.M.A.L.E. offers support and encouragement to parents experiencing the difficulties and joys involved with the choice to remain at home. We share information to help maximize personal growth and happiness.

Advocacy for educating and motivating businesses and government to address the needs of families by supporting improved and expanded child care options.

F.E.M.A.L.E. Forum: A national newsletter which includes personal accounts of life at home, survival techniques, book reviews, work/family issues, and F.E.M.A.L.E. national and local activities.

F.E.M.A.L.E. On-line: Support which includes members-only E-mail discussion loops and regular chat sessions on the WWW and AOL. See the National web site at http://femalehome.org for information on this project.
