Celebrating 75 years of great boating with 5 days of events that is sure to include something for all of our members !

Please join us at all or any of these events:

WEDNESDAY: June 15.
Join us at the clubhouse following the Wednesday night races. Meet the race crews,
enjoy some pizza and the karaoke contests. Prizes for best acts/performances etc.
These usually get better as the evening wears on! The bar will be open from 7pm.
Sponsored by our MORC Race Committee.

THURSDAY: June 16.
Open Board Meeting at 7.15, followed by the judging of the "Beard Growing" contest.
Prizes for longest beard, fullest beard and the ladies favourite.
Live entertainment follows. Bar will be open from 6pm.

FRIDAY: June 17.
It's the Commodores Party! Great "sit-down" dinner followed by entertainment plus dancing to the band: "COPPERSTILL". Tickets are$ 12.00 and are available from Karen in the office, (332-6779 ext 1) Jim Fraser (344-6726)and Murray Montgomery (332-2241) after June 1st. Wine tasting and gift basket draws courtesy of Pelee Island Winery.

SATURDAY: June 18.
It's a real, summer time outdoors concert, direct from Key West, Florida.The Eric Stone Band Concert ( http://www.boatsongs.com )is sure to be a huge hit with all. Think Jimmy Buffet! Think Bob Marley! Think Caribbean! This group does it all! Weather permitting, this will be held outside, so be sure to bring your lawn chairs. They'll entertain you from around 4pm. (island time, man) until sunset. Tickets are $ 10.00 and will be availble June 1, from the above contacts.

NOTE: Early Bird tickets only are eligible for the draw on a CORONA Beer Frig to be drawn during the Friday Commodores Party. Winner need NOT be present and it will be awarded during the Saturday concert plus many, other Corona give-a-ways as well as
other additional sponsors. Early Bird tickets are limited to the first 225 tickets sold.
Concert tickets also available from Jerry Baljeu. (336-8756) and
Tom Down at the Lakeshore Road Wine Kitz location.

SUNDAY: June 19.
Start off with a healthy "Father's Day Breakfast" prepaired by Dock 3
in the clubhouse until 11.00am.

This to be followed by the Club's "Public Open House" untill 4pm. Public interest displays will be set up by the Coast Guard, Sea Cadets,Power & Sail Squadron, Sea Scouts and our own Sail Training staff. You are all invited to decorate your vessels and participate in the "Blessing of theFleet" starting at 1pm. This invite is also for owners of boats from Port Huron, Bridgeview, Sarnia Bay, Blunts and all other visitors to the club. The ceremony will also include a "Laying of a Wreath" in honour of our past members and a boat parade from the basin out into the lake. It's at this time that each vessel and crew will be blessed by a member of the clergy. Again, prizes for the best decorated boat, voted on by the public and to top all this, we have been promised a Canadian Snowbirds fly-over around 4 o'clock!

Fabulous 75th. Anniversary T-shirts will be available by June 1st.and will be
for sale during the clubs Work Day on June 4th. and always from Murray Montgomery.

Many volunteers will be needed to make this a successful
event and your help, no matter how small, will be greatly
appreciated. Bartenders for Thursday and Saturday, security
for Saturday and Sunday, set-up and tear-down each day, etc.
