| It's been a little while since we updated...... Sorry! So here are some important news flashes: * Trash pickup day was a great success. Just remember that every piece of trash you picked up today did not go into the water you drank tonight! GREAT JOB KIDS!!!! Congratulations to Mr. Wickman, Ms. Crites, Ms. Johnson, Ben Allen and Jason Solunias (I hope it's spelled right), for not oly entering, but completing the four mile Harvest for the Hungry Run. While we are proud to announce that we came in third in the race, what we are most proud of is that we came in FIRST in raising money and food for the hungry. Once again our students and teachers have shown how much we care about our community. Thanks not only to those who ran, but for those who sponsored the runners and fed hungry people in our county! WAY TO GO BAND MEMBERS. We were so proud to hear that our band members were selected to participate in State competition. These students devote a great deal of time and effort to their pursuits, and we are very proud of you all. Ever hear of the Nina? How about the Pinta or the Santa Maria? These were the ships that brought Columbus to the new world. We have been blessed with a chance to view a replica of the Nina on May 12. Stay tuned for details on this exciting field trip! STAR WARS IS COMING!! Ask your teachers. We will soon be watching the latest Star Wars Movie. Think you can't learn while having fun? Wait 'til you see what we do with this one. UPDATE FROM MRS. DRYDEN - May 3, 2000 - I finally got two winners. They were Alex Wolverton and Matt Ashford. Way to go you two terrific math students!!!!! Check my website for the new problem. It is much easier than the last one. |
