   DANIELS AMATEUR ASTRONOMY WEBSITE (WELCOME)
The Venus Transit Occured on June 8th 2004 Astronomers worldwide viewed this rare spectacle.
Welcome to Daniels Amateur Astronomy Website!!!

Welcome to my Amateur astronomy site, My name is Daniel and I enjoy the night sky, I have decided to create my own website to help other amateur astronomers enjoy the hobby as I do. This site will give information on current and future events

Astronomy is not all about getting a telescope or a pair of binoculars, as some people think. All you need to do to start astronomy as a hobby is just read books on astronomy and the night sky. You can get a good quality astronomical book for around £5.00 to £10.00. Some amateur astronomers may first think that they need a telescope to start astronomy as a hobby well this is not always the case. If you read books on the night sky and ask people you will get all the information and you will understand what your viewing or looking at. So if you have read books on astronomy and learnt the night sky before buying a telescope then you will enjoy it much more as you will know what your viewing. As if someone who gets a telescope first they wont understand the night sky unless they have the basic knowlege to. So all you need is books and then you can progress from there. I am a fan of Sir Patrick Moore as he is also famous and creates the best astronomical TV shows in UK. The Venus Transit that Occured on June 4th
