I am Debmalya Joardar, a professional in Finance & Accounts and had been working with a big conglomerate based in Calcutta, India. Our main thrust areas were shipping, freight forwarding, courier, air-transportation, estates, advertising and publications. I happened to be the Chief Officer -Corporate Finance of the whole group, also looking after the branches. I am also proficient in computers as I am the overall incharge of MIS. My additional responsibilities included ISO 9002 compliance check. I have gone through Oracle course ( Ver 7) from SQL Star International, certified by Oracle Softwars (India) Ltd.Hence the additional responsibility of MIS falls on my shoulders. About my family, my wife is a Graduate in English from Calcutta University, & was working with a private sector bank (HDFC Bank) in-charge of Customer Relations. My father, an active Rotarian, is a Master Mariner currently engaged as Senior Faculty with The Indian Institute of Port Management, one of the largest Marine istitutes in India. My mother being a house-wife, is in charge of Home-Front. My younger brother, is also a sea-man & at present holds the rank of Second Officer in a Foreign-going vessel.
