| My name is Magnolia and I love elephants. I have been collecting them for several years. I have elephants in all materials- wood, china, onyx, gold, silver, brass, glass, crystal and shell. My passion is not limited to models of elephants oh, no. In fact I have them everywhere in my home. On cups, eggcups, pictures, table mats, phonecards, clothes, bags and jewellery. I haven`t got any elephant shoes yet but I`m hoping!. Do you think they make elephant wallpaper? Read my elephant poem THE ELEPHANT With heavy tread and trunk held high These majestic beasts delight the eye The sun is up, it`s time to move Tramping the plain in search of food A lion roars, the herd take flight. Hiding in the bush out of sight The searing sun bakes the earth Time to quench their raging thirst On the move, to find a pool And welcome shade in a place that`s cool Danger lurks from guns and men And predators hiding in their den The dying sun turns the sun to fire Red and gold as a burning pyre The day is done, night has come Black velvet replaces the blazing sun Time to find a place to sleep To lay down heads, rest weary feet |
