and he always will be and some day i hope they create another db show like dbx dbv or dbaf

Goku is the main character in all of the Dragon Ball Series. Starting with Dragon Ball, where we first see Goku as a little boy in the search for the seven magical Dragon Balls that when all seven of the Dragon Balls are brought together a dragon appears and grants one wish. Dragon Ball then followed Goku growing up; it ended when Goku reached adulthood.
Thus Begins Dragon Ball Z
In Dragon Ball Z, Goku learned that his real name is Kakarot, and that he was a Saiyan from the planet Vegeta. He discovered that from his brother Radditz who is also from the planet Vegeta. This is the first time we learn about Saiyans. When Radditz took Gohan and threatened to destroy the Earth, Goku teamed up with his former rival Piccolo, and sacrificed himself to save the planet. When Piccolo told the dying Radditz that the Earth had Dragon Balls, and that Goku could be wished back to life. On his dying breath, Radditz said that more powerful Saiyans were on their way to Earth, and that they’d be there in one year. So when Goku went to the other side, he trained under King Kai and learned some very powerful techniques. After a years time, Goku was brought back to life with the Dragon Balls, he fought Vegeta and his henchman Nappa. Nappa, had killed many of Goku’s friends, and even Piccolo (with Piccolo dead, Kami also died with Piccolo, leaving the Earth without Dragon Balls, as Piccolo/Kami were linked to the Dragon Balls). Nappa was easily defeated by Goku, so Vegeta killed Nappa. The epic battle between Goku and Vegeta took place, leaving both Goku and Vegeta badly beaten up. Goku spared Vegeta’s life and let him get in his space pod and leave Earth.
With Goku injured, Gohan, Bulma, and Krillan left for the planet Namek, so that they could use Namek's Dragon Balls to wish back all those who were killed by Vegeta. When Goku was healed he used the space pod modified by Bulma’s father Dr. Briefs to make the voyage to Namek. During the trip to Namek, Goku trained at 100x Earth’s gravity. On Namek, Goku easily defeated the Ginyu Force, Frieza’s elite warriors, and in the battle with Frieza, Goku transformed into Super Saiyan for the first time, when Frieza killed Goku’s best friend Krillin and nearly killed Piccolo. Goku defeated Frieza after a long and drawn out fight. Goku was though dead when Frieza blew up the planet Namek, but escaped the planet moments before it was destroyed.
Goku returned to Earth after a long absence. He met up with Trunks, who had just killed Frieza and his father King Cold. Trunks told of the Androids, and how they destroyed much of Trunks’ future world. Trunks also told Goku that he would die of a heart virus before the Androids would arrive; Trunks gave Goku the antidote for the heart virus and left for the future. During the fight with the Androids, Goku came down with the heart virus. While Goku was healing, with the help of the antidote, Cell entered. Goku decided that he needed more training to defeat Cell so he took Vegeta (now a good guy), Trunks (the future son of Vegeta and Bulma), and his son Gohan to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber where one could get a year of training in one day, the only catch was that only two could enter at a time. So Trunks and Vegeta went in first, when they were done, Goku and Gohan entered. During this time Cell absorbed Android #17 & #18, and became Perfect Cell. During the Cell Game, Goku was the first to fight Cell. Goku did well against Cell but was not powerful enough to defeat Cell. In a shock, Goku, knowing Gohan’s great power, had Gohan fight Cell. When Gohan went Super Saiyan 2, and was beating Cell, Cell went into self-destruct-mode. To save the entire plant, again, Goku used his teleportation move to teleport himself and Cell to King Kai’s planet where all were blown up. One of Cell’s cells survived and regenerated. Cell tried to kill all of the Z Warriors, but Gohan, with the help of Goku’s spirit defeated Cell. Goku decided to stay on the other side, so that he could get training from the Grand Kai.
Seven years later, a new Worlds Martial Arts Tournament was being held, Gohan, Vegeta, Krillin, and Piccolo were going to enter, so Goku was given one day to come back to life so that he could compete. Goku also got to meet his second son Goten. While at the Tournament, Goku met the Supreme Kai, who was trying to stop the evil wizard Babidi from resurrecting Majin Buu, a being of immense destructive power, who destroyed countless star systems, with Babidi’s father Bibidi. Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Gohan, the Supreme Kai, and his partner Kibito, went to stop Babidi from unleashing Buu. During the fight with Babidi, Piccolo and Krillin were turned to stone by Babidi’s henchman Dabura, and Vegeta became a slave of Babidi, and fought Goku. Majin Buu was released. During the fight with Goku, Vegeta finally admitted that Goku was the better man, and that good does triumph over evil. Buu was going around the world destroying everything in his path. Vegeta trying to stop Buu, self-destruct, but Buu was not dead. Goku then fought Buu but was unable to destroy Buu. Buu then split into two beings one pure good, the other pure evil. The evil Buu absorbed the good Buu, and became more powerful. Goku became Super Saiyan 3 around this point but was not enough to defeat Buu. Goku’s time on Earth was coming to an end so he taught Goten and (present/young) Trunks the fusion technique. Trunks and Goten fused to become Gotenks. Gotenks was very powerful, but had some silly moves. Buu absorbed Goten and Trunks, along with Gohan, Piccolo, and some others.
Goku was given life again so that he could defeat Buu. Goku was given the fusion earrings, that when worn, would give the wearers permanent fusion. Goku had thought that he would fuse with Gohan, but Buu had absorbed Gohan. Vegeta was given life back as well, so Goku fused with Vegeta, after much protest by Vegeta, and became Vegitto. Vegitto went Super Saiyan and was easily beating Buu, but allowed himself/themselves to be absorbed so that he/they could retrieve all of the others absorbed by Buu. Inside of Buu, Goku and Vegeta defused and all of those absorbed by Buu were released. When all those inside Buu escaped Buu transformed into his true form. The final battle between Goku and Buu began. While Goku and Buu fought, the Dragon Balls were collected. The first wish was to bring back everyone who was killed by Buu back to life; with everyone back to life Vegeta distracted Buu, so that Goku could summon enough energy to create a giant Spirit Bomb attack. With the Spirit Bomb at full power Goku hurled it at Buu, but Buu was strong enough to hold the blast back. The final wish was made to bring Goku back to full power, at full power Goku powered up the Spirit Bomb again, this time Buu was unable to fend off the blast and was finally destroyed.
Ten years later Goten and Trunks are teenagers. Gohan married Videl, and the two became parents of Pan. Goku wished the evil Buu back to life to fight him again. The wish reincarnates Buu into Ubuu; with all of the evil cleansed. Goku is training Ubuu. There is peace on Earth...

Vegeta was the first major villain in the start of Dragon Ball Z. Vegeta is the Saiyan prince, whose father King Vegeta ruled the planet of Vegeta, until it, and all the other Saiyans were destroyed by Frieza, leaving only Vegeta, Nappa, Radditz, and Kakarot/(Goku) as the only surviving Saiyans left. After Radditz learning of the Dragon Balls from Piccolo, Vegeta came to Earth to use the Dragon Balls to wish for immortality. After him and Nappa had killed many of Goku’s friends, Goku arrived, and quickly defeated Nappa. In a long battle, Goku managed to defeat Vegeta as well. Vegeta, disgraced by the defeat, fled Earth back to Frieza’s home base to heal. (Vegeta was forced to serve Frieza after Frieza killed the rest of the Saiyans). Once healed Vegeta left for the planet Namek, so that he could use its Dragon Balls the make his wish of immortality. On Namek, Vegeta found that Frieza had already arrived on the planet and had some of the Dragon Balls. It was on Namek that Vegeta teamed up with Gohan, and Krillin to fight Frieza’s minions. In the battle with Frieza, Vegeta died at the hands of Frieza, but was brought back to life, when the Dragon Balls were used to wish everyone who was killed by Frieza be brought back to life, and wished to Earth as Namek was about to explode.
When Frieza (now mostly cybernetic at this point) and his father King Cold came to Earth, Vegeta again teamed up with the other Z Warriors (some he had killed earlier, but were wished back) to fight Frieza. Before they could make a move, a young boy (Future Trunks) came out of nowhere became a Super Saiyan and easily defeated Frieza and King Cold. Then Trunks told everyone about the Androids and left. Vegeta, who is driven mostly by his pride, became jealous that Goku, and now Trunks could become Super Saiyans and he could not, so Vegeta trained at 400x Earth’s Gravity.
When the Androids arrived, Vegeta showed that he too now could transform into Super Saiyan. Now in Super Saiyan mode he quickly defeated Android #19, but even at his new power level, Vegeta was defeated by #18. After a year of training in the hyperbolic time chamber with Trunks, Vegeta was more powerful than ever. After beating Cell (form 2, after absorbing Android #17), Vegeta let his competitive pride, take over and allowed Cell to absorb Android #18. Cell now at full power, easily over took Vegeta. During the Cell Games, Vegeta again took another blow to his tremendous ego, by having to watch Goku’s son Gohan defeat Cell, not himself.
Seven years after the Cell Games, a new World Martial Arts Tournament was to take place, and Goku was going to come back to life to compete, so Vegeta, hoping for a rematch with Goku, entered the tournament. At the tournament Vegeta was going to fight Goku in the first round, but those plans were ruined when the Supreme Kai needed help to stop Babidi from resurrecting Buu. When Vegeta learned that by becoming a slave of Babidi would increase his power, Vegeta allowed himself to be possessed by Babidi, so that he could have enough power to defeat Goku. During the fight with Goku, Vegeta realized that good does triumph over evil, and Vegeta truly became good. Vegeta’s next move was to destroy Buu. Vegeta in and attempt to defeat Buu self-destructed. Buu however was not destroyed. During the fighting with Buu Vegeta was allowed to come back to Earth so that he could help in the defeat of Buu. Vegeta fused with Goku to become Vegitto. Vegitto did well against Buu, but allowed him self to be absorbed by Buu, to retrieve those previously absorbed by Buu, thus splitting Vegeta from Goku. After splitting from Goku, Vegeta destroyed the fusion earrings, so that he would never have to fuse with Goku again. Vegeta helped to distract Buu while Goku powered up the Spirit Bomb, allowing Goku to defeat Buu.

Gohan is the first born child of Goku and Chi-Chi. Named after Goku's adopted grandfather, his tremendous talent and power was readily apparent in his childhood.
Gohan first showed his power in the beginning of Dragon Ball Z in the first fight with Raditz. After Goku died (for the first time) to keep Raditz from destroying the Earth, Picollo decided to start training him by leaving him in an island for six months to learn independence and survival. After one year of training, Gohan became a much more independent and strong in character.
After the battle with Vegeta, Gohan, with Krillin and Bulma left for Namek to find Namek’s Dragon Balls to wish back to life all of those who were killed in the fight with Vegeta. On the planet Namek, Gohan helped in the fight with Frieza. Although still very young, Gohan showed much of his potential power.
Gohan first achieved the level of Super Saiyan while in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, training with his father Goku, in the Cell Saga. During the Cell Games, Gohan reached Super Saiyan 2, after Cell killed Android #16. Gohan, with the help of Goku’s spirit, finished off Cell with a massive kame-hame-ha that completely destroyed Cell.
Seven years after the Cell Saga, Gohan when to high school, where he met Videl, the daughter of Mr. Satan. He took the identity of a super hero The Great Saiyaman. During which he entered the Worlds Martial Arts Tournament. This is the start of the Buu Saga. During the Buu Saga Gohan headed to the Kai’s planet to receive training to use his hidden powers without getting angry to go into Super Saiyan mode.
In the end of Dragon Ball Z, Gohan marries Videl, and have a daughter named Pan.

Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi Chi. He is good friends with trunks. Goten became the only saiyan ever to become SSJ without expirencing anger. He had a lot of potential but could never reach it since he spends more time fooling around with trunks and that he was living in a more peaceful time.He looks exactly like Goku when he was young in Dragonball.

Piccolo is one of Goku's oldest rivals. He first appeared in the original Dragon Ball. His father was Piccolo Daimou, the evil incarnate that was released from Kami. Kami had to get rid of all the evil in his body to become guardian of Earth, and Piccolo Daimou was that evil. When Goku killed Piccolo Daimou, Piccolo vowed his revenge, and spit out an egg with this Piccolo in it. This is the Piccolo in Dragon Ball Z.
Piccolo grew up hating Goku, and fought in the Worlds Martial Arts Tournament, there they literally destroyed the arena, but Goku was the victor. When Dragon Ball Z started, Piccolo teamed up with Goku to stop Radditz. After Goku died, Piccolo, after seeing great promise in Gohan, took Gohan for training. During the year long training, Piccolo grew to care for Gohan. During the fight with Vegeta and Nappa, Piccolo sacrificed himself to save Gohan’s life. Piccolo was later revived by the Namek Dragon Balls, he even asked that he be sent to Namek to see his home world, and fight Frieza. On Namek Piccolo fused with only surviving Namek left Nail, together Piccolo’s power level increased.
During the fight with the Androids, Piccolo fused with Kami, so that the power that they started with, would help defeat the Androids. During Piccolo’s fight with Android # 17, Cell found them, and absorbed #17. Piccolo helped a little in the fight with Cell, but Cell was still far stronger than Piccolo.
During the Buu Saga, Piccolo was turned to stone by Babidi’s henchman Dabura. He later was brought back when Buu killed Dabura.
Piccolo started out evil, but as the series grew on, Piccolo became one of the good guys. Piccolo is a Namek, as so he has the ability to regenerate lost limbs, grow in size, and use magic. Piccolo’s favorite move is the Special Beam Cannon.

Saiyan Saga
The saiyan saga starts from the beginning of Dragonball Z. Goku has found Gohan in the woods after he got lost and they both had gone to Kame house to visit. Goku's older brother Radditz arrives from outer space. Raditz tells Goku that he must kill 100 humans or else he will never see Gohan again and he takes him away. Piccolo came and offered his help to Goku and Goku agreed and they both went off to fight Radditz. The fight started with Goku and Piccolo using all they had but Radditz easily blocks their best attacks and is about to destroy Goku. All of a sudden Gohan bursts out of the capsule he was put in and destroys Radditz's armor. Goku then knows that he would have to sacrafice himself to destroy Radditz so Goku grabbed Radditz from behind and held him there and Piccolo shot his beam cannon that went right through Radditz and right through Goku killing them both. Before Radditz dies he says that there are 2 more saiyans 10 times more powerful coming in one year from now to attack. Piccolo takes Gohan to a wasteland to train since he knows he has a lot of potential from what he did to Radditz. Goku was in heaven now, and the guardian of earth Kami, tells Goku that he could go to the Kaiosama's planet and train for the saiyans that are coming in one year. But he would have to travel through snake way where he had a lot of obstacles to overcome to get to King Kai's planet. But he eventually does. Goku then has to learn to get used to 10x gravity and he learns a few techniques like Kaioken, and Spirit bomb. The rest of the z fighters began to train as well since they knew Goku and Piccolo will need help against the saiyans. year has gone by since Goku's and Radditz's death and all the z fighters have trained as the saiyans have finally arrived to earth. The z fighters arrived and the battle would begin. First they would have to take on the saiba-men, green men who grew from seeds. They were holding their ground against them but Yamcha was suprised attacked by one and it self destructed when it attached itself to him killing Yamcha. Krillen is able to kill them for what they did. But now they must take on Nappa.Nappa seems invincible against the z fighters as he is easily manhandling them all. Chaozu tries to self destruct and destroy Nappa as well but he was blocked by Nappa and kills just himself. After seeing his friend die Tien gets extremely angry and goes all out on Nappa using all that his body can give. But that was not even enough as Nappa eventually destroys Tien. Nappa wants to continue the fight until Vegeta said to wait for Goku at least 3 hours for him to show up. Goku was being wished back into the real world. The time is up and Nappa sends a blast right at Gohan but Piccolo dives in front of Gohan and sacrafices his life. Now it is just Krillen and Gohan. Nappa is about to destroy Krillen and Gohan until finally Goku arrives.
Goku takes on Nappa and overwhelms the saiyan giant. Goku uses his Kaioken attack and Nappa is desperate and asks Vegeta for his help but instead Vegeta is angered for his failure and instead destoryed his former comrad. After that Vegeta and Goku fought in a complete deadlocked battle which went on for a while. Vegeta goes Oozaru(see SSJ Levels section for info) and gains the upper hand. And of all people Yajirobee comes and saves the day by cutting off Vegeta's tail and having him go back to normal. Goku tries to make a spirit bomb but since he does not have much energy left he gives it to Krillen and Vegeta got hit and was badly injured. Gohan went Oozaru and attacked Vegeta nearly to death but he was able to escape. Gohan and Krillen are healed and Bulma knows that since Piccolo is dead than so is Kami and that maybe there are dragonballs on Namek that they can use to bring Piccolo and Kami back to life. So they ask for Kami's old ship that he used to get to earth, fix it up and Bulma, Gohan and Krillen head out on their Journey to Namek.
