The fourth howitzer cup has been clinched by the Golden Rhinos in a seven game series. This was a remarkable series. See Howitzer Now for the intense details.
The third Howitzer cup has been won by Vicello in game six! He played an excellent and constant game. This is the second cup for the western conference. Also, the 1991 cup series has started. It is JLGP vs. The Golden Rhinos. JLGP has come out very strong and leads the series.
The third cup has begun! See Howitzer NOW! The players: # 10 Mert vs. # 6 Vincello. Very rainy today, so only three games were played.
The Howitzer international site is now up and running. The first two cups have already been won. Please see Howitzer NOW! for more. However, one player will be using a Sherwood pro 5000 junior, and the other a Pro shot Skor 2500 junior. The balls will be standard prangle plastic road hockey balls, and the net a "Road Warrior" series net. With this new net the game will be more exciting than ever, as calls will be easy to make and overall the game will have a more professional feel to it. The total investment of hockey tape, a net and four balls was around $34. Hopefully the equipment will last a long time.

It is hard to believe but Mert achived a shutout in game three of the third Howitzer cup. However, he failed to clinch the series. It was lost 4-2 to Vincello. |
Those folks to the left are some of the Howitzer supporters that are high profile. The first is Lanny Mcdonald, who once scored 29 goals in one shot. He also holds the record for most shots in one save, most saves in one shot, most saves in one goal, and most saves in one crosscheck. Then there's Mike Ricci. And then there's Jean Luc Grand Pierre, who is the all time best Howitzer player in the history of the universe, hands down. And then there's Mert. |
