The P.H.S. Choral Ensemble was the name of my choir during my senior year of high school (1998-1999). Ensemble was a small chamber group made up of 19 members who are chosen from the Acapella choir (also an audition choir). Throughout the year, Mr. McCullough worked hard to teach us a diverse repertoire that consisted of difficult pieces from many different genres (i.e. Christmas songs, renaissance, madrigals, swing, sacred, and popular/hollywood hits). I have never been in a more dedicated choir than this one.

From the week before school started until the last performance every member of the group was dedicated to learning our songs and perfecting our performances. We spent all year working our butts of and performing over 50 concerts so that we could raise enough money to pay our ways to England. We were invited to participate in the Shrewsbury International Music Festival in Shrewsbury England. And we made it :o) and it was definitely worth all of the time and effort. To me, and all of us, England was one of the greatest experiences of a lifetime! We sang in cathedrals, in stores, on walks, on the plane, and on the double decker buses :o). That was so much fun and I'll never forget it. That's what I loved the most about my choir. There's nothing like the feeling of togetherness because of a shared love for music. We were so close and all of us loved to sing wherever we went.

This choir was more than an elective to me. We were like a family. We spent so much time together (wether it be because of concerts, class time, "meetings" during lunch time :o}, the trips to fast food joints, fundraising events, and the occasional slumber parties). We were together for what seemed like all the time and so we decided to make the best of it and we did and we also became best friends. We formed a bond that neither time nor distance can break. I love you guys!
P.S. Can you guys sing at my wedding? (not like I have a clue when that is... ;-}) It'll be such a cool reunion....
