Hi welcome to my page! It is one of thebest times of the year. It is baseball season again. I am finally old enough to play high school baseball, but I have to make the team first and cuts are on my birthday. I hope I make it there are 46 people trying out and there are keeping 26 people and only five freshman. If everything goes right I am going to try out for American Legion. it is almost time for Major League Baseball.  My favorite baseball team is the New York Yankes. They are the best baseball team ever. My favorite baseball player is Derek Jeter. He is awesome in every way. He is the best fielder and hitter. |
There are many sports here in Point Pleasant. I believe the main sport here is football . We have a very succesful football program going even though this year was rough. We failed to make the playoffs.Most of us are looking forward to next year though. Our 1999 varsity scheldule consists of 10 games and our record for the season was 5-5. We beat Ripley, Roane, Man, Athens,and River Valley. We lost to Logan, Jackson, Warren Local, Gallipolis, and Marietta. Our 1999 J.V scheldule was so screwed up we did not know who we were playing but we played them. Our J.V did pretty good considering the fact that half the team was Freshman and we played teams that were all Juniors. We are Coached by Steve Safford along with assistant coaches Dave Rawson, Tery Rollins, Dave Bodkin, Dave Darst, Bill Rice, and Joe Johnson. In our little town we also have a basketball team which does okay. This season we have a good team with a couple standout players such as Jason Pyles who is a very good basketball player. He is the leading scorer for Point and is bound to get a scholarship. Ryan Litchfield is the one of the only guys that can dunk. Our girls softball team is the best in the state and are hoping for a repeat. Our baseball team is okay. We will see in the spring how good we really are. That is about it for now . JOSH HOLLAND IS THE BEST SOCCER PLAYER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
