YES. We provide a complete domain name service with email

NOTE: Publishing your site and buying a domain name are not
the same thing. They are separate actions. Each is priced separately.

Can I update my site at any time?
YES. Just click Update Site on our homepage and login to the
Site Editor.

Can I delete my site at any time?
YES. Just login and click Delete Site.

How do I build a Web Site without using HTML?
You use the Site and Page Editors.
Our menus, buttons, and fill-in-the-blank fields let you
design and detail every aspect of your Web Site.

I already know HTML, can I use it in my pages?
YES. If you already know HTML you may use it in any text field.
But, except for the <br> break tag, it is usually better not to
use HTML tags directly. If you do use your own HTML tags and
there is a problem, you will see it when you update the text field.
Please remember, if the HTML code is incorrect, our support staff
CANNOT assist you to correct it.

Where can I find information about HTML?

How can I stop receiving emails from you?
You can login to your site and click Site Administration.
Or you can delete your site. Login and click Delete Site.
We send email ONLY to active site owners.

How large can my site be?
We allow up to 100 pages to a site. We do not create
true HTML files so the limit is expressed in pages rather than megabytes.

Can I upload my own images and html files?
YES. However, we charge for this service. We sell two types of upload
space (click for more info): Storage and Upload/Import.
To upload files from your PC or import files from elsewhere on the Internet
click the Storage button or click Upload/Import under the Site Menu of the Site Editor.
To purchase space directly, login and click Site Services.

Why are you offering this service?
We earn revenue by showing ads. We also provide optional services

My default guestbook has Private Data check on. How can I read it?
Login to your site, click Guestbook, and then click View Default Guestbook Entries

How do I get my site on the Search Engines?
To get your site indexed by a given Search Engine,
you must visit that Search Engine and follow its instructions for submittal.
You may also be able to find submittal services on the Internet.

How do I find my site on the Search Engines?
Submit it with keywords that are unique. Keywords that
match keywords on other sites are unlikely to place your
site high in the Search Engines.

I can't find my site using the Search Engines.
Have you submitted it to the Search Engines?
If not, visit them and follow their instructions for submittal.
To check for your site, visit altavista.com and search for YOURSITENAME
to see if your site is indexed. If so, try to search using
keywords. If you cannot find your site using keywords, then
your site's keywords are used by lots of other sites. You need
to use unique keywords to distinguish your site from the others.
For example, if your site is Abercrombie Antiques with keywords:
"antiques, curios, rare, furniture" chances are good that you
will find your site searching for "Abercrombie Antiques", poor
searching for "rare antique furniture", and impossible searching
for "antique grandfather clocks". In the "poor" case, it does not
mean that your site is excluded from the Search Engine's index;
rather, it means that thousands of other sites have been indexed
using the same keywords.

What is my URL?

YOURSITENAME is the name of your site.

Can I put my own HTML code into my pages?
YES. But you need to know what you are doing. You can
paste or key in HTML into Maxlets or Fields using the Field Editor.
But if the HTML code is incorrect, our support staff CANNOT assist
you to correct it.

How do I create Meta Tags for my site?
You don't. We create Meta Tags automatically based on the
content of your pages. We take the text from your description, key words,
title, subtitle, and so on to create Meta Tags acceptable to the Search Engines.

Can I use Java applets on my Web Site?
Yes, login and click Maxlets to see our Gallery.

Can I import MIDI files to my Web Site?
YES. Use our Storage or Upload/Import feature.

How do I get rid of the Site Editor button in the upper left-hand

Logout from the Site Editor. The Site Editor button appears in the

Where do I go to upload files and images?
Login to your site and click Upload/Import to upload
your files to Max Pages' server. Alternatively, click Storage to store your
files on a remote server. FYI, Storage is cheaper, Upload/Import is more
reliable.

Your files must be gif, jpg, png, or art files to work with
the Web Browsers. They must also have either the
.gif, .jpg, .png, or .art extension for Image Browser
to list them. Files that do not have one of these extensions may
be uploaded and linked to but they will not appear
in the Image Browser.

How do I change my password?
Login to your site and click Site Administration.

How can I change the name of my site?
Click Rename Site on the Site Editor Menu.

I can't find the image I want in your Image Library.
How can I get new images?
You can search the Internet, purchase an image library
on CD or create your own images. Then you can use
our Storage or Upload/Import feature to put them into your site.

Can I add sounds and music to my site?
YES. Use our Storage or Upload/Import feature.

Do you support Microsoft Front Page?
NO. We are a complete and independent Web Site
Design System.

How do I include music and sounds in my site?
You can have background music or sounds for each of your pages.
Select a page, click Page Features, and then click Background Music.
You can use your OWN uploaded music or sound file, or you can use music
from our library. Once you set the Background Music option under Page Features
the sound or music will be played whenever your page is visited.

How do I change my email address?
Login to your site and click Site Administration.

Can I rename my site?
YES. Click Rename Site on the Site Editor Menu.

How do I put a guestbook on my Web Site?
Guestbooks are automatic. To customize your guestbook,
Login to your site and click Guestbook on the Site Editor Menu. Then use the Guestbook
Wizard to setup your guestbook. Be SURE to check Enable Guestbook.
On Freeform pages insert a maxlet from the category "Info Boxes/Guestbook Links".
