Your Website

Each website consists of one or more pages. The first page of a site is always named Home (the homepage of the site). Additional pages can be added or deleted from the Site Editor. A menu of pages (table of contents) can be displayed on each page. Many menu styles are available.

The look of each page is usually determined by its template. There is also a Preformatted look which does not use a template. The choice of a template or the preformatted look determines the Page Type. You initially choose a template when you create your site. You can use Page Layout to change the template choice at any time or convert to preformatted.

Page content is contained primarily within Page Fields and Maxlets. Additional content objects such as Forms and Polls can also be displayed. There as some differences in how content is placed on a page depending on the Page Type.

Once you create your site people can visit it at http://maxpages.com/YOURSITENAME where YOURSITENAME is the name you chose for your site when you created it. If you have a domain mapped to your Web Site your URL is http://YOURDOMAINNAME.
Note: The use of uppercase letters above is simply for highlighting.
