| Hey, what`s up? Welcome to my Pokecenter! We`ve got tons in store,including some great cheats and tricks for the game! So come on in to my Pokecenter,and get ready to have some fun! (Note: You will see an asterisk(*)before each cheat I haven`t tried.) POKEMON TIPS AND TRICKS (FOR THE AMERICAN RED AND BLUE VERSION) HOW TO GET TOGEPI* First you`ll need to have all 150 Pokemon. Then, go to Bill`s P.C., and put these Pokemon in in this exact order: Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres. Go to Bill`s cottage. He`ll lead you to his secret garden, and there you will see Togepi. HOW TO GET PIKABLU (Mairu or Marill)* This is an extremely hard cheat. Go to the Power Plant. Fight a Voltorb, and defeat it. Then, find a rock closest to you and press A on that rock. Go to different rocks if you have time. But you only have ten seconds! If you find the right rock, you`ll go into the Secret Office. There will be a Pokeball in the office, so grab it and you`ll have a Pikablu! There will also be a hole, and if you go through it, you`ll end up in the grassy area by Pallet Town. HOW TO GET UNLIMITED ITEMS The only requirement for this cheat is HM03(Surf). Fly back to Viridian City, and talk to the man who teaches you how to catch a Weedle. Say no, and after he`s done, fly to either Cinnibar Island or Surf from Fuschia City to Seafoam Island. Surf on the part where you`re half on land and half in water. You will see a MissingNo. Beat him, and your sixth item will have a weird symbol by it which stands for 9,999! HOW TO GET MEW* Trade a Pokemon to a character in the game(Cinnibar Island is suggested).Ignore the MissingNo.,but Surf on the east coast for a while, because it is rumored that you`ll see a Mew! Be sure to have a hyponosis Pokemon handy,so you can make it fall asleep, or Mew will transform into a Ditto. BETTER CHANCE TO CATCTH POKEMON I When you throw a Great Ball, hold Up and B. The ball will act like a MasterBall! BETTER CHANCE TO CATCH POKEMON II When you throw the Pokeball, press A and it will shut tighter. GOOD ATTACK CHEAT When you`re battling another person, press A while your Pokemon is attacking. This will make your attack hit harder. GAME SHARK CODES FOR POKEMON RED AND BLUE * Battle Mew in every battle:0115D8CF * Buy Master Balls for free:01017CCF * Infinite Safari Balls:016447DA * Infinite Safari Time:01F00ED7 * Infinite Casino Coins:0199A4D5+0199A5D5 *Bring Back Old Game:B123D7CF * Get Eevee and its evolutions:Eevee:0166D8CF Flareon:0167D8CF Jolteon:0168D8CF Vaporeon:0169D8CF *Get all 3: Bulbasaur,Squirtle, and Charmander: Bulbasaur:0199D8CF Squirtle :01B0D8CF Charmander:01B1D8CF CLONE POKEMON Grab a friend for this one! Trade a bad Pokemon to your friend for a good one. When the person who`s getting a good Pokemon`s screen says "Waiting" get ready to turn the other one off. When the waiting sign disappears, turn off the GameBoy thats getting a bad Pokemon. When the other GameBoy says "Trade Completed" turn that one off also. When you turn the GameBoys back on, you both will have the good Pokemon and the bad Pokemon will be gone. POKEMON GAZETTE 10/17/99: Doin` the countdown `til Pokemon Yellow comes out(10/20/99)! One cool thing about it is you can print out your Pokemon if you have the GameBoy printer. It is rumored that Team Rocket will make a guest appearance on the game. So will Nurse Joy and her Chanseys, and Officer Jenny. You`ll fight Dameon, who will give you a Charmander if you beat him (You start off with a Pikachu, who follows you around and can`t be put in the P.C. And for some strange reason, Gary starts off with a Eevee.). You also will be able to visit the Hidden Village and get a Bulbasaur. I don`t know how you get a Squirtle, but you should be able to. As you can see, its a lot more like the show than the game! Oh, by the way, grab the potion from your room for using it during your first battle against Gary! 10/17/99 Pokemon Stadium: Wow! In this really cool game, you get to experience the fun of being in a real Pokemon battle right in the comfort of your own N64! You train Pokemon to fight in 3-d battles! See www.pokemon.com for more on this, and pictures! 11/4/99: Hey, I just heard a rumor! After Pokemon Gold and Silver comes out, there will be four new games coming out! They are: Pokemon Brown, Orange, Purple, and Pink. Here`s some info about Pokemon Gold and Silver. Okay, they`re expecting 250 Pokemon, including Pikablu! There`s also male and female Pokemon in the game, too. It`s expected to be out next spring. More info coming soon! 11/12/99: Sorry that I haven`t been updating lately. I`ll try to do it more often. Hey, you know how everyone is wondering about Pokemon Green? Well, it`s the exact same as Pokemon Blue, just in Japanese! 11/13/99: I now have some Pokefacts! Here they are!: MissingNo. is a glitch. It`s made up of all of the Pokemon in the game. Pikachu in Japanese is "Electric Rodent". That`s so cool! Articuno is the first of the legendary bird trio. That`s why there`s uno at the end. Also, they have put Artic at the front because the Artic is freezing and so is Articuno. Zapdos is the second in the bird trio. Zap is electricity, which is Zapdos` type, and dos is two in Spanish. Here comes Moltres! Try to figure this one out on your own! Snorlax is a Sleeping type Pokemon.(Duh, you can tell by his name.) Snor is from snore and lax is from relax. Hitmonchan is named after Jackie Chan. Hitmonlee is named after Bruce Lee. Weepinbell`s meaning is weepin` bell because it looks like it`s crying. All the cities are named after colors except Pallet Town. Hey that`s funny! PALLET Town! Kanghaskhan is named after a man named Ghengis Khan. Magikarp`s name in Japanese is Koikingu, which gets a chuckle in Japan. Koi is the weakest fish in Japan, like Magikarp is the weakest fish in Pokemon the game! 11/22/99: Hi, everyone! EVEN MORE CHEATS AND CODES SAVE MONEY IN POKEMARTS* If you need a large quantitiy of items from the Pokemart, buy the items in packs of three. It`s free! You can get a lot of expensive items this way. But there`s always a downside. This cheat is only usable in some marts and I don`t know which one. POKEMON YELLOW CHEATS HOW TO GET SQUIRTLE*: Walk to Vermillion City. In the middle of the city, you`ll see Officer Jenny( Told Ya!). Talk to her and she`ll give you a Squirtle! HOW TO GET A BULBASAUR*: Right after you get the Squirtle, go to a house in the city. You`ll see a lady with a Pokemon at her side. Talk to her and she`ll ask you a question. Choose the top answer and she`ll ask you another question. Answer the top one again and you`ll get a Bulbasaur! HOW TO GET A CHARMANDER:See Pokemon News above. CHRONA MEW: Take your Itemfinder and go to Mt. Moon. Use it in 100 different places in the cave, and on your 101st time, it`ll pick up a Mist Stone. Use it on your Mewtwo(or Mew) and TA-DA! Chrona Mew! POKEMON: THE CARTOON It`s all the rage. What am I talking about, you ask? Why, the Pokemon cartoon show, of course! It airs on Kid`s WB from Monday to Saturday, mornings and afternoons. The show is about ten-year-old Ash Ketchum, who is determined to catch all 150 Pokemon and be a Pokemon master. He befriends two trainers along the way, too. Their names? Misty and Brock. Misty is a girl who wants to be the greatest Water Pokemon trainer, and will not stop following Ash, who crashed her bike trying to save Pikachu from angry Spearows, until he buys her a new bike. Brock is guy who wants to be the best Pokemon breeder. He came along with Misty and Ash (Misty is hanging around Ash until she gets a bike)when his dad came back to stay with Brock`s siblings so Brock could fulfill his dream to be a Pokemon breeder. Of course, there`s always the bad guys, and Team Rocket took the job. Their Pokemon consist of Ekans, Koffing and Meowth. Meowth just happens to be my favorite Pokemon because he`s hilarious! The owners of these Pokemon are Jessie, who owns Ekans, and James, who owns Koffing. FLASH FACT:Ekans is actually snake spelled backwards! And Meowth is shared by both Jessie and James. Team Rocket`s main goal in life is to steal rare and exquisite Pokemon. But according to their boss, Giovanni, they don`t do a very good job! In every episode, they come face to face with different Pokemon and Team Rocket. If you like the game, then you`ll probablly like the show! It also gives tips on Pokemon Yellow if you just watch! POKEMON RED AND BLUE First, you start out at your house after you choose a name for yourself and for your rival. Go downstairs and out the door, and go around your house to the grassy area. Prof. Oak will come to you and tell you to follow him. You will be taken into his lab and your rival will be there. You will be able to choose first what you want from these three Pokemon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. I`d recommend Bulbasaur personally. Then your rival will choose a Pokemon. When you try to exit the lab, your rival will come over to you and challenge you to a fight. When you get to Viridian City, go to the Pokemart lady. She`ll have a package for you to give to Prof. Oak. When you do give him the package, he will give you a Pokedex that records all the Pokemon that you`ve seen and caught. Here`s a list of all the gym leaders and their badges to give you when you defeat them: 1. Brock- Boulder Badge 2. Misty- Cascade Badge 3. Lt. Surge- Thunder Badge 4. Erika- Rainbow Badge 5. Sabrina- Marsh Badge 6. Koga- Soul Badge 7. Blaine- Volcano Badge 8. Giovanni- Earth Badge Below is a list of the cities the gym leaders are fighting in and what the badge does for you and your Pokemon: 1. Pewter City- Power increases a bit. You can use Flash anytime. 2. Cerulean City- Pokemon up to level 30 will obey you. You can use Cut anytime. 3. Vermilion City- Speed increases a bit. You can use Fly anytime 4. Celadon City- Pokemon up to level 50 will obey. You can use Strength anytime. 5. Saffron City- Pokemon up to level 70 will obey. 6. Fuchsia City- Defense increases a bit. You can use Surf anytime. 7. Cinnibar Island- Special Abilities increase. 8. Viridian City- All Pokemon will obey! GENKI DE CHU(or whatever it`s called) This game for N64 is already out in Japan, and we Americans are hoping that it`ll even come to America. It has a speaker that comes with it, so you can speak to your Pokemon, Pikachu. Pikachu will like you if you speak nicely to it. If you hurt its feelings, Pikachu won`t want to obey you or play with you. You know what? This is a good example for life. The people around you are like Pikachu, so if you speak nicely to them and act nicely toward them, they`ll want to be your friend.-_-
