Aslan's Culture & Why He Rules

Hi, and welcome to my site! Ok,I would have to say I consider myself a pro at anything Narnia for those of you who don't know me I in fact take a class on the Chronicles of Narnia and and although the homework may be a bit hard it is a whole lot of fun.If you are planning to read all of the chronicles in order here's the order in which I suggest you read them. 1. The Magicians Nephew 2. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe 3. The Horse and His Boy 4. Prince Caspian 5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader 6. The Silver Chair 7. The Last Battle Okay, now that you have read the list I bet you are like "But I though The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe was first?!" Although C.S Lewis wrote LWW (The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe) first he later went on to write The Magician's Nephew which is the first book in the series if you wish to read it in chronological order. You see, people get a bit confused because of the order in which Lewis published The Chronicles of Narnia.Below is the order in which Lewis published his books. 1. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950) 2. Prince Caspian(1951) 3. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1952) 4. The Silver Chair (1953) 5. The Horse and His Boy (1954) 6. The Magicians Nephew(1955) 7. The Last Battle (1956) I read them in the chronological order because I was (and am) taking a class on them but if you are reading the Chronicles of Narnia for pleasure I recommend you read them in chronological order as well.Because if you do not it gets a bit confusing and I must say they are marvelouse books. Now that ,that has been explained then here is something very important that you should know. The Chronicles of Narnia are FULL OF BIBLICAL AND LITERARY ALLUSIONS although you may not realize it each charactor goes through some small hardship that Lewis had to endure himself. There are also many biblical allusions Ex. Aslan gives his life for Edmund in LWW that is just like Jesus Christ giving himself to save all his children (us) from sin .
