| The unique lifework at New Beginnings is a liveness that started more than a decade ago. It began deep inside the most conservative sect of Amish in America (and abroad)since the begining of the culture. Connecting with normal sociaty in ways unheard of throughout the history of the Amish this "movement" took place.A friendship of harmony movement, with supporters nation-wide, helping individuals find and live their real dignity. With support and resources to help break free from any negative or dark force that creats a negative inbalence of energy in a persons life. The mission started primarily as a mission to the Amish, or those leaving the culture. However with continued search into history for answers the mission shifted international. The goal is helping any indivdual who has been kept back from accomplising their dreams because of culture teachings. Everyone has the right to find and live their real dignity. As a support and resource center not only do we make available facts about the Amish never before exposed, stunning truths about other religious cultures are revealed. In the late twenties century controveries and conflicts in the Amish cultures started troubling the kniited culture more intensily than it ever had since the beginning of the denominating creed. to thein the home of a father who was about as twisted up with the Amish religion as any known person in Amish history. Including Sam was dealing with a traumizing-depressing physcial disability that made it impossible for him to have a life where he was at. After adjusting to the change following a near fatal car/buggy accident bringing him a condition the fighting power to continue with life regardless of his physcial condition. After the big adjustment he had to deal with his father who was psyscially, verbaly,and emotionally abusive and based it on his twisted up culture religion. With a physcial condition poor and religion based controlled life,fighting for his existence Sam was dangling in a situation that was about to keep him hopelessy handicapped the rest of his life. A life that as slowly being comprised by the very culture he was anchored to. Pat a retired childrens psychologist inspired by this young mans sense of humor and determination took a a deep interest in his pathetic existence. The two struck a friendship that began a positive change to the potentially fatal situation. Going from the destruction in the valleys of the dark side of life Sam was finally brought home to the place that is real home to where he enjoys his life in true freedom and the beauty of a friendship making everything in his life turn to reality. With the support and trusting promise that he won't have to be out in the bitter cold of life again this mission came to reality. Reaching out for others to be able to enjoy the same freedom and true love he now has in his life. Giving those under culture based controlled lifes the opportuity to escape the dominating force of demagoguery to find the same freedom and happiness he struggled so hard to acheive. Wheelchair bound didn't mean he was to be handicapped in life. Without the support of a true friend whos heart went out to his unhappy dilemma as recently as a year ago Sam would have never found the security in life and happiness he now has. The effects of a true true friendship has brought Sam through many dark moments to the beauty of freedom and real life with the potential of touching many others lifes. He calls the care and support he receives true freedom and love at home. |

| The mission of the New Beginnings is to afford those individuals who have been controlled, abused in all facets of their existence a safe haven in which to bridge the gap to independant normal living. Support in every area of natrual living as we know it. Providing shelter,education,psychological counseling, job training, and general support to what may seem a very frightening but exciting adjustment to normal life. |
