Revolution Details and DS Online Revealed |
| |
At the Game Developers Conference on March 10 Nintendo's president, Satoru Iwata, finally revealed a few details regarding the next-gen system code-named Revolution and what is to come for the Nintendo DS. The Revolution will be backwards compatible with Gamecube games, although it is unclear whether the media will be 4.75 inch DVD discs or the 3 inch optical discs used in the Gamecube. Also the system will have WiFi online support in WiFi hotspots. Until we get details at E3, it is unknown whether Nintendo will take the full dive into online for the Revolution. However, Nintendo will be going that direction later this year with the DS. Iwata confirmed that they are about ready to launch online service for the DS, starting with Mario Kart and Animal Crossing, and some rumors are floating about that some big, BIG titles will be coming for the DS that will use online support(Halo...please). The Revolution will be playable at E3 and most likely Nintendo will shed light on some monstrous titles for the DS. |

Legend of Zelda and Mario 128 |

Nintendo confirmed that the new "adult" Legend of Zelda and the long overdue Mario 128 will release for the Gamecube and not be pushed over to the Revolution as some were concerned with. Mario 128 will finally be revealed at E3 and both The Legend of Zelda and Mario 128 will be playable at E3.

Rumors! Rumors! Rumors! Rumor has it that the Nintendo Revolution will be supporting duel processors at a possible 6 Ghz. It may also support an internal Hard drive and broadband gaming straight from the box. Nintendo may also be going to full size HD DVDs. A rumor out of Japan also says that the controllers may not have the traditional d-pad, A, or B buttons, but will have tilt and motion sensitivity. Everything should be revealed at a certain show in May( hmm...). |

Starting April 1 if you preorder The Legend of Zelda for Gamecube you will recieve, as a preorder bonus, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker free. But wait! This is not the cel-shaded game that you knew. This is The Wind Waker graphically redone in the new "adult" style. Sweet! And to answer both of your questions: No this not an April Fool's joke, and no it doesn't get better than this. |

Polarium Will Give PSP's Lumines Competition |
| |
Polarium is a brand new puzzler for the Nintendo DS that will be coming in April, and it looks like we can't wait to get our hands on it. With black and white tiles that, with a touch of the stylus flip over to allow blocks to fall from overhead, it may look bland, but this is what the DS needs. And Polarium will allow players to compete against each other in wireless play. We hope that Polarium will be good enough that all those PSP owners playing Lumines will envy us DS owners. Check out some screenshots from Polarium. |
