CURRENT PROJECTS CASTING: FAME: This version is based on the hit movie and television series set at NYC'S prestigious HS of performing arts which Launched the carrers of may top performers in Today's industry. Just to name a few. Debbie Allen, Gene Anthony Ray, Nia Pepples(WALKER TEXAS RANGER) and plenty others who had guest appearances on the popular series which launched a national touring group which featured a majority of the televsion series cast. There will be extensive publicity for this show including perfoming excerpts in various city parks,some televsion coverage THE TODAY SHOW, GOOD MORNING AMERICA etc. Proceeds from this production will be donated to various charities including OPRAHS ANGEL NETWORK. A CHOREOGRAPHER is also needed. There are NO shy types with this cast. This cast must be daring, creative, energetic, and full of KAZAM! Very idealistic MARIO: (BRUNO'S uncle). Not as persistant as ANGELO. THE STUDENTS:(Ages 15-24yrs Must look or portray teenaged) DORIS: Caucasian, a little full figured. We want to give the audience an evening to remember so when the finale number hits FAME. They to will be dancing in the isles so to speak. A THIEF'S SHADOW. This unique television action drama is described in some similarites as THE MATRIX with a twist. This is far beyond the normal teen drama in many capacities. Carl Stuycken("Mr Romm"from STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION and "Lurch" from THE NEW ADDAMS FAMILY stars as one of the more unique characters. A screenplay reading is set for Mid July at a Manhattan Location TBA. Where major industry are set to attend. The pilot is set to begin in Fall 2000 in Chicago. A brief overview: 14 year old SAMANTHA DOUGLAS cunning self-educated natural born thief, uses the martial arts,cat burglar skills of her British American undercover agent father FRANKIN DOUGLAS, the espionage tactics of her Russian mother SVETLANA DOUGLAS AMSLER and the wealthy resources of her stepfather KLAUS AMSLER when she is tricked by CAPTAIN BILL FINCH and staff into working life's unsolved mysteries for the city police. She vows to brak free from all of their shadows and eventually solve the mysteries that haunt her own young life with guidance of her mentor MASTER SHIHAN Martial arts instructor and his eccentric friend STREKKOR the creator. CHARACTERS: SAMANTHA DOUGLAS (14-16yrs): STRONG MARTIAL ARTS/GYMNASTICS A MUST. This is the most powerful/realistic role in the series. Not only can she fight but also carry a great deal of emotion as well. This girl has not had a happy childhood so far as the series progress more and more twists and turns will be revealed that will put her on an emotional rollercoaster. Also must be daring, tough, good swimming skills and not affraid of heights as well. This is a very demanding/physical role for a promising actress. They will be trained at location in Chicago with the trainer who is also portraying the character MASTER SHIHAN. This will promise to be a breakthrough role. KLAUS AMSLER (50-60 yrs) SAMANTHA'S wealthy stepfather. Kingpin of a national smuggling operation and several othe illegal activities in the world. Sinister, crass,manipulative and controling. CAPTIAN BILL FINCH: (35-40yrs) Head of the cities police force. Detemined, clever, and manipulative. RYAN: (40yrs) FINCH'S undercover agent also AMSLER'S limo driver. ARTHUR (16yrs) Friend to SAMANTHA. Comes from a good upbringing. Caring They met during a martial arts class. SVELTANA: (40-50yrs) SAMANTHA'S mother. Former professional Ballerina who left SAMANTHA to pursue her career. Works for AMSLER when she needs cash. Manipulative,cunning. FRANKLIN: (45-50yrs) SAMATHA'S true father. Little is known about him. Keeps a low profile. GEORGETTE: (16 yrs): SAMATHA'S bitter rival. A challange for SAMANTHA. Tough cruel, jealous of SAMANTHA'S and ARTHURS relationship. Threatens to expose SAMANTHA for what she is. (Martial arts skills required) The roles of STEKKOR(Carel Struycken) and MASTER SHIHAN have been filled. However at this point it is not definite whether if they will be able to do the roles at the reading. Will keep updated on this.) There is interest from several networks on this series which promises to be a smash sensation. GI-GIRL(Working title) There is a screenplay reading set for Mid Summer for this. Details to follow. Overview: 16 year old Cadet CHRISTINE SLOANE is a top notch cadet in her class. Although the death of her mother has somewhat affected her. Her drive, ambition success comes from her prestigious world reknowned father GENERAL SLOANE. A Schwartzkof like character. Very commanding, strictly by the book type. His name immediately results in high recongition. When not a commander he is a caring sensitive father with the responsiblity of raising his daughter. All that comes to a shattering end when he is mysteriously murdered bringing CHRISTINE'S world to a tragic end. She starts to detoriate, she loses friends, she becomes islolated, hostile, eventually flunking out of the accademy. She then is forced into a new world which she hardly has known, dealing with a sister she hardly knew, adjusting to HS and a new life. CHRISTINE meets up with someone who helps her adjust and eventually embark on a rollercoaster ride to seek vengeance on her father's killer(s) only to discover it goes WAY deeper into a threat which endagers not only her life but the fate of the world as well. CHRISTINE SLOAN: (16 yrs) Attractive, tough, yet emotional. STRONG MARTIAL ARTS/ GYMNASTICS REQUIRED. (See characteristic for SAMANTHA in THIEF'S shadow) GENERAL SLOANE: (45-60 yrs) CHRISTINE'S father. Schwarzkoff like persona. Very commanding yet caring. Hides a dark secret which costs him his life. JULIE: (25-30yrs) GENERAL SLOANES assistant. Attractive, yet sinister, cunning. She is a wolf in sheeps clothing. TRENT HART (17-18yrs) Marine type. brutish. Evil pyschotic, rival of CHRISTINE and hates her with a passion and will stop at nothing to ruin her. (Martial arts skills required) THOMAS JOHN ADAMS(50 yrs). Affican American. A Colin Powell type. Retired Sargent, who was wounded in Vietnam walks with a limp, works as HS Groundskeeper. Has seen it all. War, death. Was a close friend to CHRISTINE'S father. Helps CHRISTINE dealing with her adjustment to civilian life, while also working to solves the forces behind the terrorist threat to the world. BARNES: (40 yrs): Leader of the terrorist org. While also a high society figure in the world. Ranks amongst Kennedy, Trump etc. Purely psychotic with a warped s sinister sense of humor. Not someone you want to mess with. WILLIAMS (35-40 yrs): Part of BARNES Org. Although forced into it by blackmail. DR ROSENBERG: (40-50 yrs) BARNE'S inventor. GENERAL ANDREWS: (50 yrs): Same characertistics as GENERAL SLOANE. CHELSEA :(25-35 yrs): CHRISTINE'S other sister. Tries to adjust with situation of now having to care for a sister she hardly knew. PRINCIPAL SMART: (35-45 yrs): A no-nonsense of a principal. Demanding, controling YARON: (16-17 yrs) Isreali. Anything for a laugh type considers himself a comedian. Pushes to the limit and sometimes over, tough when need arises. AUTUMN: (15-17 yrs) Considered a geek although she is very intelligent and at times tough when pushed to the limit. TERESEA:(15-17 yrs) Latino/Middle Eastern. Hip/Fresh outspoken activist. A take charge type person yet isn't shy on using her fists when pushed to the limit. (Some stage combat/gymnastic experience helpful) BARRY:(18-19 yrs) Yaron's friend. And all around fix it-guy. Has a crush on CHRISTINE. Has high ambitions of becomming a filmmaker. OTHER ROLES: MARK: (15-16 yrs) Asian. A genious at computers. This production will not begin until Summer 2000. Oveview: With news about unexplained missing teenagers throughout the world. What REALLY happens to them and where do they end up. One unwilling teen is about to discover the deep dark unearthly secret in which she finds herself in a battle to save her friends from a fate worse than death. CORRINE:(15-23yrs) Any ethnicity.
