No English No Help After 35 years and nearly 20 years in the work force I experienced my first run in with racism at A.C Moore arts and crafts in Asheville, NC. As I scrambled to find assistance for a non English speaking Spanish American customer, I made my way from manager to manager until I reached the store manager . Wanting greatly to assist the nice lady in any way that I could I entrusted the situation to the general manager. This would turn out to be a big mistake with even bigger consequences. After I alerted an assitant manager Amanda Carey, she refused to help or give any assistance to the Spanish lady, even turning her back and walking away as I spoke. Finally as I told the GM Jimmy Pate of the situation I stated, "I wish I knew a way that I could help her", he then responded by saying, "tell her to go take an English class". I was stunned. Unfortunately even though another employee overheard his remarks, A.C. Moore has yet to make any direct contact with me regarding the incident. For what ever reason they continue to support this manager in his racist ways and ignore the possibility of being at fault. Futhermore I no longer work at the store. Imagine that... Top Jimmy Mr. Jimmy Pate, top dog! Jimmy is a skinny 6' 5" version of an illiterate Martha Stewart. Both have a horrible personality, are angry bullies, mean spirited and have a love for crafts. What is more frightening is that Martha obviously "wears the pants" and Jimmy "wears a skirt". Jimmy has a kinky obsession for telling other men to "put on a skirt". Sorry Jimmy but that is too much information. What you do in your bedroom should stay there.

Unique Personalities To better understand the situatuion you must first get to know the managers involved. First of all the assistant Amanda has the personality of a Rattle Snake on crack cocaine. She is a very rude and abrasive person with the disposition of a witch trying to ride a broom with a yeast infection. Speaking of witches, you can tell from her looks that someone has already dropped a house on her. Let's just pray for all of the young children and small animals that she has scared. Prozac In The Pez Dispensers If there was ever a need for putting Paxil or Prozac in gum-ball machines these two people are prime examples. I am not a drug user nor do I advocate the use of illegal drugs, but this is a case where the use of recreational Marijuana could be advantageous to both of these individuals...
