| Welcome to my world... |
| Hey people, my name is Sparky DeBuque and I'm kind of new at this whole web site hosting thing. I guess I should start by telling you guys a little about myself. As my friends describe me, I'm as deep as a mud puddle (http://www.leasticoulddo.com reference there), what you see is what you get. I'm 20, and I'm majoring in SUNY Canton in Motorsports service and performance. I'm into computers too, but I don't know nearly as much as I want to, I still have to have friends help me fix my stuff. I like to party, but I like to clarify that a little considering that it's usually the first thing that you see in people's websites. By party I don't mean sit around and smoke one with a couple people drinking a beer. I think it's not a party until the third keg rolls in and people are careening from wall to wall in a drunken stumble to the next beer, blazed out of thier minds. I am a pretty outdoors-oriented person, unless there's snow outside. WIth the exception of riding snowmobiles, but I don't own one so I hibernate all winter other than class or work, and since I'm recently unemployed again that limits my outdoor excursions a little. I love my motorcycles, I've been devoting my time lately to running a 1965 Ducati 250 Monza and a 1966 Triumph 650 Bonneville. The Bonne may be whipping me right now but I'm still having fun. I've lived in Northern New York my entire life, with the goal of getting my degree and going somewhere warm with a 12 month a year riding season for my bikes. |
| In Other News... |
| There really hasn't been too much going on with me lately...my laptop crashed so I have to use one of my roommates computer, but I've known one of my roommates since I was 4 years old so we seem to think on the same page and he doesn't mind me using his stuff as long as I return the favor when I have something he needs to use. I'm trying to learn how to skateboard, but I just gave myself a concussion rapping the back of my head off the pavement the other night so I've been leaving the deck in my room for that last day or two. I found out that we can't stay in the dorms for Thanksgiving break, so it looks like a week of jumping from friend's house to friend's house crashing out on couches for me, looks like interesting times (again) starting on the 21st. But I've been there and done that before, and came by no harm doing so, so I guess I'll just suck it up and deal with it. At least I'll be eating homecooked meals instead of dining hall crap for a few, so it could be worse. Trying to sell my truck, if any of you squids out there are interested, it's a 1981 Chevy K-10 Heave Half ton with a 350, 4 bolt main, Rochester Quadrajet, but the sticking point with most people is after I dropped a couple transmissions I couldn't afford to put another 4WD tranny in there and so it's an automatic 2WD Chevy, and there isn't much for storage space since it's a regular cab, short box step side. Looks mean, really aggressive stance, but she needs some work. 100 to 125 bucks in gaskets and seals, witht he exception of a carrier bearing and a universal joint, should have her in immaculate running order, the motor is nice and clean and she starts even on the coldest days, but there's some cosmetic work to be done. The only places the rust has eaten through on the entire truck are the flared over tops on the outside of the bed and the cab corners and bottoms of the doors. She's a little rough, but she'll clean up good if you took the time, and I'm only asking $600 for it with a little room to dicker, so if anyone's interested shoot me an email at sparkydebuque@hotmail.com...
In yet other news, I return at 4 in the morning after trying my new friend Crystal (those who know, know, and those who don't, don't) and some new Jack Daniels. Now my favorite liquor to this point has definately been Jack Daniels Old No. 7 but I have to grudgingly admit defeat to Jack Daniels SIngle Barrel, which costs (around Canton, NY) 42.50 for a damned 750 ml bottle, but I have never seen red Jack before tonight, and that shit is so good it defies explination. Some good, GOOD scotch also helped set the night off. That, my good friend, his hot g/f, and her hot friend, helped me to make the most of my concossion. |
| Music and Stuff... |
| Music and movies are pretty important to me...Well, music is, movies are good and all but they take the back burner to lots of stuff. I think there is no greater musical force than Pink Floyd, before Roger Waters left them, followed closely by The Beatles, and then The Doors. The Wall was Pink Floyds biggest impact in thier opinion of the strain of the constant attention of the masses, the belief that people in the spotlight are super-human, when we all come from differing backgrounds but we all have deeply inset insecurities and problems. The Dark Side of the Moon was slightly better musically, but The Wall contained a deeper message. The Beatles, it has to be the White Album. And The Doors, damn it's hard to decide, but I almost want to say The Morrison Hotel, or L.A. Woman. Movies, right now Miller's Crossing has my vote, but there are more movies I like than I could list. Moving onward, the college life has been treating me well, with such friends as Turd Ferguson, Captain Clamidia, Dildo, Mr. French Tickler, Rainbow, Pickle, Wang, Zim, Gay Matt, Tiny, and many, many others how can one go wrong? I have friends in 3 of the 4 Frats in SUNY Canton, and I know girls from all 4 sororities, and I have managed to meet quite a few people from town that don't even go to college, and have never went. For crying out loud, I even hang out with people going to High School in this town. This should be my 5th semester, but I was kicked out back in the day a couple semesters ago so instead it's my 4th, and I'm graduating in december. That's about all there is to me that you anonymous web nomads need to know, if I know you, you know more than this, more than you should probably, and if I don't know you and you're curious about more than I have already let you know, email me sometime and if I think you're an interesting peson I'll drop you a line with my AIM name. |
