Daycare tip "Sent in" by Jesse Smith The number of experience points a Pokemon goes up in the Daycare is based on the number of steps you take from the time you leave a Pokemon to the time you pick it up. If you want to speed it up, just ride around using the Bike. Even if the Pokemon doesn't go up a level, you still have to pay $100. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Easy money "Sent in" by Jesse Smith Every time you fight the Eliet Four and Gary, you get a total of around $30,000. Just beat the game over and over and you can build up money very quickly. A easy way to do it is to get Mewtwo. Using Psychic, when fighting the Elite Four, he can knock out almost any Pokemon in one hit. Also, each time you use TM 16, Pay Day, on one of the Eliet Four Pokemon you get $110. For example, if you use it seven times, you get an extra $770. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Easy way to catch Mewtwo "Sent in" by Jesse Smith Just use the Master Ball. Sent in by Pokemaster The first thing that you need to do is to put the item that you want duplicated in the 6th slot on your item menu (by pressing Select, then moving). Then go to the man in Viridian City that shows you how to catch a Weedle. Let him show you how to catch it. Then, fly down to Cinnabar Island. From there, surf on the left side of the coast by going up and down (you should look like you are surfing half on land). You should encounter a MissingNo, or a Mysterio. Run away from it then check your item, and you got a weird symbol followed by a 9 or other number. This is like 115 "items". If it doesn't work the first time, try it again. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How do you catch a Kangaskhan? Sent in by John Carmack You need to get to what we all know and love as the Safari Zone. Here, you can catch all sorts of nifty rare Pokemon that can be found no where else! One of these is the elusive Kangaskhan-#115. This Pokemon can be found on both the Red and Blue paks, so don't be discouraged if you don't catch it at first. To get to the Safari Zone, you first need to be able to get to Fuschia City. The easiest way to get here is to go through Routes 21, 20, and 19 from Pallet to Fuschia. You will need a SURFing Pokemon to effectively perform this feat. Once in Fuschia City, go to the North as far as you can. You will need a CUTting Pokemon for this one. Cut the bush that is blocking your path, and then head north once again. You will see a building surrounded on all sides by trees. Enter this building. As you try to walk on through, a guy will stop you asking you for money so you can play the Safari game. Say yes, if you really want a Kangaskhan, and head on in. Immediately head north until you hit a fence, then head east until you come to a wall of trees. If a wild Pokemon attacks you while you are walking there, just run away. You will want to safe your Safari Balls for the Kangaskhan. Head north again. When you see an opening to another screen, go through it. From here, head east until you are walking in a grassy area, where Pokemon live. Begin walking around and eventually you will be attacked by something. If it is not a Kangaskhan, then run away. If it is, then start chucking Safari Balls at it. It will eventually either be caught or run away, if it runs away, just walk around some more. If you run out of time before you catch one, just head back to the same place and try again. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to get Dratini Sent in by Richard If you are having trouble finding (or winning) Dratini, go fishing in the Safari zone in Area I. And if you do hook it, just throw Safari Balls at it. This also works with other Safari Zone Pokemon. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hint on trading pokemon Sent in by Justin Shen Before trading pokemon, make one game have a junky pokemon and the other have a pokemon you want to duplicate. Then go to trade center and trade the junky one and the good one. Then at the end of the trade after "waiting" and before "trade complete," turn the game that use to have the good pokemon off. The other game will say trade complete. Then turn the other game off, then turn both back on. Both games should have the good pokemon and the junky pokemon should be gone. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tip on beating the gyms Sent in by Jonathan Ellinger Heres a tip for beating the gyms easily, first before you go to the first gym, do a lot of fighting with the wild Pokemon get to level 10, then fight every trainer on your way to the second gym, after you defeat Misty, go to the cruise ship, get your beginning Pokemon up to level 36, by defeating all trainers on the ship. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tip on fighting Lt. Surge Sent in by Jimbo When Fighting Lt. Surge and his Electric type pokemon, get cut first, then use it on the pokemon. It usually kills them in one shot. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Increase the accuracy of any type of poke-ball Sent in by Pokeball To increase the accuracy of any type of poke-ball hit down and B when the ball leaves your hand. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tip on raising levels Sent in by Maxis Reed Raising the levels of Pokemon is easy if you know this trick. When you get to Varidian City (the next city after Pallet town) buy a few poke' balls and then go out through the mountain path to that grassy area. Let your poke'mon fight and raise his levels. Capture any pokemon you want and raise their levels too. If you get hurt just go back to the town and go in the poke center. You'll get healed, and you'll have raised the levels. This works very well until the pokemon get to level 10 then try the next method. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tip on raising levels for low level pokemon Sent in by Maxis Reed After you have raised levels to about 10 and have gotten better pokemon and gone though the game a bit, try this. If you want to raise a low level pokemon quickly and also get ahead in the game, put the low level poke'mon first in line. Then when the first enemy comes out, you can switch pokemon to a stronger poke'mon and get hurt a little then kill the enemy. You'll have gotten as many points for that one pokemon switching out, as you did for the stronger one who beat it. If there is multiple enemies in a fight, you can switch pokemon after you defeat one and another is coming with out getting damaged. Then repeat the switch to get more experience with little cost. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get free Full Restores at Indigo Plataeu's mart/center Sent in by DaNukez To get free Full Restores at Indigo Plataeu's mart/center go to the shop area, and choose the Full Restore. When the pokemon is wobbling inside the ball, wait until the second wobble then release the buttons. If you did it correctly, the pokemon will be caught at any level or strength!! Odds in this happening: 4 out of 5 times. NOTE: This only works with a regular pokeball! You can use great balls or ultra balls but the odds are very slim. Approx. 2 out of 5 times. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ways to evolve Pokemon Sent in by Condor2000 There are three ways for pokemon to evolve: 1. | 1 When you start the game, the best monster to choose is Bulbasaur. Because he, unlike the other two is a duel type pokemon, grass and poison, so he will do the best against the first few monsters. 2 Save any nuggets that you find, they are worth a great deal of cash!!!!!! 3 To get all 150 monsters you nust have the blue and red versions of pokemon!!!!! Now start either game and play until you find your first monster!! Now go to the field with the charmanders and capture 1 of them. Now plug your game into the other version and rapidly hit trade until you hear a tone! You then will have all 150 pokemon!!!!! 4 It is not true when they say that you should not only make one pokemon strong! When I played the red version of the game, I only used Charmander for almost the whole time!! I made him so strong and totally crushed the pokemon league!!!!! 5 If you were like me and bought both versions of the pokemon game, then here is a tip!!!! When you beat one of them, instead of looking for the 5 abilities(CUT, FLASH, SWIM, STRENGTH, and FLY) just send the monster with those techniques to your new game and there they are!!!!!!! 6 You can get an evee in celadon City go up until you can get to the top and go into the building beside the mansion and keep going through the steps and you'll find evee! thanx to Jeff! 7 Aerodactyl, You need |
First you catch a Pokemon that knows Hypnosis. I usually get a level 23 Poliwhirl from Celadon. This trick is easiest on Articuno. For Articuno, leave it as is, and go to Seafoam. Right as you near it, switch Poliwhirl to the first Pokemon. Save, and then talk to the bird. It may kill you if it uses ice beam, but if it uses peck, youll be alive. Now you use Hypnosis. As soon as its asleep, throw an Ultra Ball. There is no need to weaken this bird. Before you go to Moltres and Zapdos, raise the Poliwhirl a little. Do the same thing, except weaken these two. For Mewtwo, forget using Poliwhirl. In the Unknown Dungeon, make sure theres an empty spot for a Pokemon. Catch a level 64 Parasect, and then go to Mewtwo. Before approaching Mewtwo, make sure Parasect is first. Save, then go into battle with Mewtwo. Use Spore, then switch and weaken Mewtwo. Throw an Ultra Ball. Mewtwo will most likely be caught. FBMart1128@aol.com It has been rumored that Blue version Pokémon are stronger than Red version Pokémon. To test this, me and my friends fought each other with the identical Pokémon (same Pokémon, same level, same moves, no Protien, Carbos, HP up, etc used, GameShark was also not used). When two Articunos fought each other, they both used Ice Beam and the Red's Articuno did took off about 1/4 of the Blue's Articuno's total HP. The other Articuno, however, took 1/2 of the Red's Articuno total HP. Not a critical hit. Then we looked at the stats of our Pokémon and saw that Blue's Articuno had stats that exceeded Red's stats by about 20. Same thing all our other Pokémon. So we ask, IS the Blue version "better"?!? mogkupo7@hotmail.com Hello, Im will tel you about a Pokemon Mewthree. Its moves are :Swift, To get him cacth a MewTwo and name it Boston. Make sure you have a spot open on your team. Then go to The Game corner. Stay ther unit Your Mew Two gets Poisoned. DONT leave. Wait till Mew Two faints. Look at your Pokemon you should have MewThree. Robert {The Pokemon Master} Brehm ebrehm@worldnet.att.net PoJo, I really love your site! Its great! Its the only Pokemon site I ever go to. I have 386 Pokemon Cards, your Price Guide helped me to find the value of my collection! I have some information for the Pokedex. Ive heard rumors about some Pokemon. I dont know if they really exist or not, but here they are anyway. GOLD/SILVER VERSION POKEMON CHARCOAL - Evolves from Charizard. Fire-type. Looks like a Charizard, but skinnier. FLARETH - Evolves from Flareon. Fire-type. HUMANOID - Basic Pokemon. ???-type. I have a story for this one. Here it is: You have to have a mole Pokemon. (This is a normal Gold/Silver Version Pokemon. It probably evolves from Dugtrio.) Have it on the top of your list, and go into Digletts cave. Once you are in the main cave part, take one step to the left of the stairs. Use DIG. You will swirl up as normal, but you will land in an infinite field of grass. Dont move from where you were dropped. (More on that later.) PAUSE your game and take out your ITEMFINDER. When you UNPAUSE your game, the game will say, "ITEMFINDER evolved into HUMANFINDER!" The HUMANFINDER starts to move, and you follow it. (Just like you do in the beginning of the game with Professor Oak.) After a few minutes of following it, the HUMANFINDER will stop. You read along the bottom of the screen something like this. "SO, YOU FOUND ME! WELL, I REALLY DONT WANT TO FIGHT, BUT I GUESS I HAVE TO." You fight the trainer, called HUMANOID. It looks just like Ash. His Pokemon are tough. Make sure you have some good Pokemon and beat him. Hell say, "YOU BEAT ME! YOURE GOOD. ILL HELP YOU IN YOUR QUEST." You are then transported back to the normal world but hes still there. Everyone you talk to, now, says something different. "LOOK! TWINS!" Or something like that. You never have to fight any more trainers... for a while. HUMANOID does that for you. But if you ask too much of him, he will evolve into HUMANOID 2. He becomes bad. He still follows you but doesnt fight for you. Sometimes hell challenge you to a battle. Hell actually catch the Pokemon youre fighting with and keep them. You cant get them back. Once he steals all six Pokemon, you forfeit and have to hand over all of your money. THE END. Sorry if thats not a good ending, but thats how it ends. What happens if you move after you DIG? Well, then, youre stuck in the field forever. Even if you dont save, you cant get out. There are some wild glitch Pokemon in the field you can catch. OTHERS (Possibly on Gold/Silver Versions, possibly can get on Blue/Red Versions with codes, possibly dont exist at all.) ROOTS - Evolves from Vileplume. Grass-type. Looks like a tree. FREEZER - Evolves from Ditto. Normal & Ice-types. Looks like an icicle. SANTA CLAWS - yes, CLAWS. Dont ask me. Evolves from Mr. Mime. Looks like a mix between a Mr. Mime and an elf. HOW TO GET MEW - Gameshark. STOP COMING UP WITH THESE RUMORS PEOPLE! Ive tried quite a few and none of them work. I have six Mews at L100. HOW?!? Gameshark. REMEMBER! These are just RUMORS, maybe none of them work. PLEASE dont e-mail me telling me they dont work. And PLEASE dont hold me responsible for erased games! Proceed at your own risk. From, JJK - jjknintendo64@yahoo.com there are millions of pokemon not just 151 but here is a neat code:153 Togepi get the moon stone from Mt.Moon (that you have to find with a itemfinder )and use it on a Chansey it should say what Chansey is laying a egg the egg should hacth in a few days N64kid10@webtv.net To get a Sandscratch first take Marc the Likitung you trade a Slowbro for. Then put a levl 100 Articuno second then the rest Sandslashes. Then beat the Elite four 13 times. Then fly to saffron. Go to the Secretary. She should give you a Ground Stone. Use it all the Sandslashes will be Sandscratches. From, ebrehm@worldnet.net Missingno does not permanently mess up your game except in the case of the hall of fame. The only time it messes up your graphics is when you are using it (or it's counterpart 'M) in battle , which can be easily corrected. In battle, to correct this, you merely go to the Pkmn menu, view the stats of a benched pokemon, and then put that pokemon into play. Kornn666@hotmail.com Someone said the only way to get some cash after beating all of the trainers is to use payday. Well, there is a better way. Go back and keep fighting the Elite Four. It is the absolute best way to get money and experience points. - rcolvin@alltel.net To get a Sandscratch first take Marc the Likitung you trade a Slowbro for. Then put a levl 100 Articuno second then the rest Sandslashes. Then beat the Elite four 13 times. Then fly to saffron. Go to the Secretary. She should give you a Ground Stone. Use it all the Sandslashes will be Sandscratches. From, ebrehm@worldnet.net I can confirm with you where pikablu is found he is found in either Mt.Moon when you have all 150 Pokemon or he's in the Viridian Forest so far I found him in both places. If you need help with any thing else contact me at astrobat0@hotmail.com. If you want 2 get 200$ worth of one pay day teach it to mewtwo and bring mewtwo up to level 100 and u get 200 dollars for 1 use of pay day. - krankkala@sunvalley.net If your looking for kangaskhan then heres a way to get him really easy. go to the guy in viridian city and say no to his qwestion watch him catch a weedle then fly to cinnibar island and surf the cost. fight a pokemon called symbolmsymbol then level it up 1 level then walla! it turns into a kangaskhan. sam.mcgregor@gte.net There is a evolved version of onix his name is dimonix.you and your freind must have each an onix at level 60 keep on trading back and fourth it will take awhile but it works - cadworks@sympatico.ca Hey, I just found out that rare candy does not give you as much powerups as when you actually gain a level. This is bad because people duplicate rare candy and use it for a quick powerup. the result is weaker pokemon, trust me. - RCHOKESLAM@aol.com To capture Mew - I tryed about 70 codes and only one worked.first you need 151 pokemon ( missingno.). then You trade a Mewtwo for a Gastly then get the gastly up to level 50 then trade him for a kadabra witch will evolve into a Alakazam. Put him on the top of your team then face a missingno that is level 0. you need te masterball code and a open space on your team. Get the Missingno on the top of your pokmon list then go fight the Elite 4. every time you battle take missingno out of battle and put in a Zapdos. after a wile Missingno. will evolve into some rare pokemon. Then go to cennabar island and read all the journals in order. get out and put your coin case in a box on the PC. go get another one from the guy in the city where you got the first one. Go down the bike hill to the pond then fly to Pallet. talk to Garys sister then your mom then Oak. go north and talk to all the gym leaders andthat guy who takes you to the top. go all the way to the Elite 4 and beet them 12 times in a row with out talking to anyone but the nurse. after you win you go talk to Oak and he will say your pokedex is compleated. Now go to Safron and talk to the psyic guy and tell you about Mew. Now go to the seaform island and talk to that girl in the water for at least a hour and she will give you a powerdex ( a riged up pokedex) and will tell you to go in the cave and find a new pokemon. dont go in. fly to sennabar island and find the room with the pipes on the wall. hit A on the middle pipe and it will say " amber" but you cant take it. Go in your items and get the coin case. you will hear a call like a Mewtwo but it isnt. Your team should look like- Rare pokemon that missingno evolved into- mewtwo-zapdos- dratini-caterpie and charazard/bulbasaur/blastoise. You will fight the pipe and use a mastewr ball to catch it. it will evilve into mew at levil 84. Thats how you get Mew pojo pals. - ttomczik@ecenet.com to get mew, you need to not let the S. |
