Tuesday night's exhibition game was the first of the year for the SuperGentlemen. The SG went off to a slow start but was pulled back within range afetr a couple Jack Jenkins layups. The first half of the scrimmage was considered unofficial thus no score was reported, but later on the Christ the King AAA decided we'd have a an all out game. Coach Abboud was forced to leave for personal reasons and A Teamer/Head Male Cheerleader Zane Hinkel was forced to step in. CTK big man Collin O'Neil grabbed the tip and began the game with an inside move and a 2 point basket, but soon after the SG out their plan into action. Their offense consisted of the fast break and scored nearly all of their points off of it. The SG went on an 8-0 run to bring the score to 8-2. Ctk coach Tim O'Neil was not happy w/ his teams effort. "I felt like we thought the game started sometime tommorrow I'm not sure what went wrong," he was quoted as saying. Ctk pulled back within 2 after to duces form Max Huerter and Daniel Grant, but the momented shifted for good after an inbounds to Hinkel who threw up an alley-oop to to Tom Grant who slammed it down and was called for a technical for hanging on the rim. Jack Jenkins stuffed forward Ryan Spellman on the next trip down and SG playa Tom Barnard drained a two from just in side the perimeter. Hinkel then went on a rampage scoring 19 staright points for the SG. Barnard had to bring out the fire extingusher to put out the flame on Hinkel's hand after the game. CTK put up a total of 27 points in the loss w/ leading scorers Huerter, D. Grant, & collin o'neil all putting in 7 points. The SG were lead by Zane Hinkel who had 23, Jack Jenkins 8, Jace Anderson 6, Tom Barnard 5, and Tom grant 4. The future looks bright for the SG despite only having 3 official playas show up, Grant Barnard and Anderson. After the game the SuperGentlemen announced the fining of playa David Coyle for failure to give an excuse for missing the game. He was also suspended from starting the next game. "I am very sorry for the miscommunication on my part, I wish i couldve done things differently but i didnt and i now must pay the consequnces. I apologize to all of the SG," he said.
