| These are poems I have wrote and friends of mine have given to me. Please read and pass on to your friends and family. We met and became friends And then it became more I led you to my open door You laid with me in my bed While sweet dreams of you ran through my head Now that you have left I can only dream That in time you will be more than a dream I knew when I met you it could grow If only you would let me know So in my dreams you will always be there How I wish you would only care Life goes on as it may Even though your far away The distance between the two of us It never has to be a must For you can come straight to me For all my love will forever be So if only you would see The love you would receive straight from me The love inside forever grows For the one I want to know So for now I will go Only to hope you will want to know You cross the path of someone so dear You live and laugh, You have no fear You fall in love and your feelings grow For you let all your true feelings flow Then comes the day they are all taken away For your life becomes sad that very day. Your life you wish you could just take away You don't want to live anymore For there seems there's nothing to live for But in time your life seems to grow Your friends are there to let you know For you are the person that will really grow For the one that can hurt and turn away Will end up alone in life anyway You grow and learn to laugh and smile For you have walked that long sad mile When love is strong and love is true You know in your heart you will never be blue But then one day when they are through Your heart turns a deep shade of blue Your heart can't handle all the pain You sit and cry and wonder why Things always have to be this way Love to some is just a game But to you love is a true feeling just the same You love and care and give it your all To some it's just a feeling, to deep to fall They tell you they love you but really they don't For they know in their heart they never won't They play the game and take what they can While in their heart they know their not a true man So on they move to another one To see if they can use their heart, To break it like glass and let it fall apart. So hold your heart close and don't let go For tomorrow there will be another The game will be played, Your heart they will break It will shatter to pieces and fall apart You will be left alone to play the part Putting it back together won't be easy But in life's lessons you will learn The part you play was a true and loving feeling For you to know it will be their loss For the bridges they burn They will never again be able to cross. If you are ever going to love me, Love me now, While I can know The sweet and tender feeling Which from true affection flow. Love me now while I am living. Do not wait until I'm gone And then have it chiseled in marble Sweet words on ice - cold stone. If you wait until I'm sleeping, Never to awaken There will be death between us And I won't ever hear you then. So if you love me, even a little bit, Let me know it while I'm living So I can treasure it. To laugh is to risk appearing the fool To weep is to risk appearing sentimental To reach out to another is to risk involvement To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self To place your idea or dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss To love is to risk not being loved in return To live is to risk dying To hope is to risk despair To try is to risk failure But risks must be taken. The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. Those who risk nothing, do nothing, have nothing, are nothing. They may avoid suffering, But they cannot learn, feel, grow and live. Chained by their certitudes, They have forfieted their freedom. Only people who risk are free. If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the lord, your soul to keep. If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more. If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute or two to stop and say " I LOVE YOU ", instead of assuming, you would know I do. If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day... Well I'm sure you'll have so many more, So I can let just this one slip away. For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an over sight, And we always get a second chance to make everything right. There will always be another day to say our " I LOVE YOU'S " And certainly there's another chance to say our " ANYTHING I CAN DO'S ?" But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like to say how much I LOVE YOU and I hope we never forget, Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight... So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day. That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss, And you were too busy to grant someone, What turned out to be their one last wish. So hold yor loved ones close today, Whisper in their ear, Tell them how much you love them and that you will always hold them dear. Take the time to say " I'M SORRY ", " PLEASE FORGIVE ME ", " THANK YOU " or " IT'S OKAY " And if tomorrow never comes, You'll have no regrets about today. |
