It is spring time. We are already in April. This winter passed by very fast, it seemed that yesterday we celebrated Christmas, and now we are preparing for Easter. So prepare yourselves for Easter.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. This is the first verse of the Bible and also one of the most important verses. How many things did God create? You might think of only two things, the heavens and the earth, but actually there were three things that God created in the beginning. They were the heavens, earth and time. Here the word 'beginning' refers to time.
This first verse of the Bible tells us that God is the Almighty Creator God who created the entire Universe. He created all creatures. We are Gods creation. God created us in his own image and said "it was good". God wanted man to be happy and put him in the "Garden of Eden". There, grew all kind of plants, flowers, and trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. God gave man "Paradise", but when man sinned against God he lost everything. The result was death. As years passed by the people of that time began to live a miserable life and started to sin against God more and more. They completely ignored Gods existence. They built idols and started to worship them as Gods. God saw that the world was corupt. He was hurt and grieved. He was sorry that he had created man. He was so grieved that he decided to destroy the earth and to wipe mankind from the face of the earth by flood. But there was one man named Noah.
Noah was a righteous man, and found favor in the eyes of the Lord. This is why God spared Noah and his family from the flood by telling him to build an Ark. Noah obey God and did everything he said. Noah had three sons. Even though Noah was a faithul man and worshiped God, he was still a sinful man. Did the flood solved mans sin problem? The answer is no. The ark that Noah built didn't saved mans sin problem. This is why God sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Jesus Christ is our Ark of Salvation that saves us from our sins. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have eternal life". May God bless each one of us and changed this country into a Kingdom of Priests and a Holy Nation. Amen.
