| Hitomi Kanzaki was once an average high school teenager, when, without warning, she is transported to a mystical world called Gaea. Suddenly, Hitomi finds herself a key player in a deadly battle against the Zaibach Empire. In this turbulent world, warriors fight each other with special battle suits called Guymelefs. Hitomi and her freind, Van must protect Escaflowne, a powerful transforming battle suit, which is the only weapon strong enough to put and end to the Empire's evil plans. Meanwhile, Zaibach is out to destroy Escaflowne, which could lead to the demise of the planet. It's up to Hitomi and Van to master the secrets of Escaflowne, defeat the Zaibach Empire, and most impotantly, bring peace to a planet plagued by warfare. |
