REDMOND, Wash., April 3, 2000 - Passionate Pokémaniacs have snapped up more than 1 million copies of Pokémon Stadium in less than a month, easily making the innovative Pak the nation's top-selling video game so far this year.

Pokémon Stadium is the second Pokémon title for N64 (following 1999's Pokémon Snap), and allows up to four players to battle in a free-for-all Pokémon tournament complete with special attacks and fully animated movements.
The million-plus U.S. buyers represent more than the combined capacities of America's top 10 sports venues: the Rose Bowl, Soldier Field in Chicago, the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Superdome in New Orleans, and the campus homes for football teams at Michigan, Tennessee, Penn State, Ohio State, Stanford and Georgia.
Ah, but Pokémon players are a resourceful lot. Those left figuratively milling on the sidewalk outside would probably whip out their Game Boys to play Pokémon Red, Blue or Yellow. That's because Pokémon built up on the Game Boy can be sent into Pokémon Stadium's 3-D battles via the Transfer Pak that comes bundled with Stadium.

Please be advised that the Japanese version of Pokémon Gold and Silver was released in Japan on November 21, 1999. Nintendo of America Inc. has scheduled to release its English version of these popular video games in the fall of 2000. It has come to our attention that there are English versions of Pokémon Gold and Silver being offered over various auction sites. Please be aware that the video games claiming to be the English version of Pokémon Gold and Silver, offered prior to the Fall of 2000, may be counterfeit.
As counterfeiters use sophisticated printers to photocopy the packaging, it is often hard to tell based on a screen shot displayed on a web page whether or not the Game Pak is a counterfeit. Sometimes the individual offering counterfeit products will actually display the authentic version of the product in order to deceive the buyer.
In cases of photocopied packaging, it may not be obvious that the Nintendo Seal of Quality is actually fake. Make sure that you purchase the real version of Pokémon Gold and Silver by waiting for the official release this fall. - great
